Great rush. I know Brown has said that he's more comfortable playing RW but I swear he's far more dangerous coming down the left side...even his cute puck between the legs deke seems to work more times than not. He played LW in the olympics and did a solid job...

That surprises me. I would have expected it to be Moreau, who I would swear I only saw on the ice 3 or 4 times.

Forgot to add. I was very happy with Williams. He is without a doubt a first line hockey player. I was almost surprised at how strong of a game he had. Wish we could give him an adamanteum (sp?) skeleton, he would easily be a star if he could turn in 80+ game seasons and stay regularly healthy.

One other positive from today's game. They won in OT, so it's a "real" win in the standings, not a SOW.

You'll need Sports Pack to get it (which is well worth the money IMO - I enjoy listening to other team's broadcasts to hear what they have to say about the Kings), however this game MAY be blacked out given it was a national broadcast originally.

Odds are good it'll not be blacked out given it's not otherwise being repeated on Versus or NHL Network, but there is a chance it will.

90% of the sold out Globe Arena was rooting for the Rags.
I left my lungs there, and it was awesome to see all the sad blueshirted swedes went home empty handed.

GO KINGS!

He pushed Clifford from the goal line head first into the boards. Nobody made a video and it wasn't that bad. If Clifford was standing nearer to the boards, Zuccarello would definitely have been suspended and Clifford probably injured.

Kopi sure didn't look like a player coming off a major injury today. He was a beast out there. Definately the best player on the ice.

Martinez and Richardson really showed a lot in this game as well. Both played excellent. Just need to bring that type of game consistently.

I'm not as down on Hunter as many of you. I thought he was real active in the first period. Had a nice shot, just got handcuffed on another. Layed a few hits and caused some decent traffic in front of the net on limited shifts. What do we expect from a journeyman bottom liner?

Clifford was in a vulnerable position leaning forward in a race to the puck. He was several feet from the boards and ahead of the Ranger player. Zurcarello pushed him from behind sending him nearly headfirst into the boards pretty hard. Seems like a fair judgement from the NHL based upon the circumstances and the play.

I'd like to know what Milbury thinks about the $2500 fine.

Saw the game,

Just wondering where all the naysayers about Murray was and how the only thing he could coach was dump in chase...

Anyways, Quick scared the hell out of me today and I am a huge Quick fan, he just didn't seem comfortable out there and seemed to be fighting the puck a bit.

Johnson, thank god he scored the GWG, because he sure as hell looked bad out there defensively, absolute brutal turnover that Quick saved his ass on, a few times he was in the wrong position.

Doughty looked tired, but that was to be expected.

Clifford and Lewis didn't look the same out there together, I wonder if Clifford gained more weight and that slowed him down a bit, he looked relatively slow.

Moreau is a strong 4th line player, and Hunter will get in the groove again,

Top to bottom, we are a solid depth team with no real weakness that a team can flat out exploit, ie, having Erixon on the ice with Kopitar or Richards wasn't the smartest play by the the Rangers...

I've been saying that you guys underrate AMart but no one listens to me. Some posters wanted him traded for whatever just so Voynov could get in the lineup.

Alec Martinez is going to make a lot of people look foolish for making such preposterous suggestions. He's not only an NHL-level defenseman, but he displays the abilities of a top three dman.

Alec is an important part of the blueline and is held to little regard because he isn't as flashy as Doughty or Johnson and not as physical as Mitchell, Scuderi or Greene. He does everything well and keeps getting better at it.

The only negatives I saw from today were Clifford who looked very slow with his reactions and decision making. Maybe he was thinking too much but I didn't like his play today. Johnson only had one glaring mistake and he made up for it with his goal but didn't like his game. Trent Hunter was garbage.
