Anyone who watched games last year could tell Prospal is twice the player Wolski is.

Congrats to the kid! I remember reading an article about Poille praising the kid and saying he's gonna make the roster before pre-season started.

He was also the best USA player IMO in last years WC. 6 points in 7 games vs. men!

He will likely have a season similar to what Stepan had last year, grab him in your late rounds quick!

Bergeron scores to make it 3-1

Edit: Tipped by Downie.

Edit2: Adam Hall makes it 4-1. Looks like game over, switching to the Hawks.

Well in hindsight, that was a poor decision to let Prospal go. One year deal would've been nice.

Oh well.

In any sight it was a poor decision.

Guy scored 23 points in 29 while coming up huge down the stretch. The money that's going to EC and Rupp SHOULD'VE gone to Prospal, imo.

I probably would've done something like this.

Dubi/Prospal-Richards-Gaborik
Dubi/Prospal-Arty-Cally
Feds-Steps-MZA
Avery-Boyle-Prust

really cheap 13th forward.

I stopped caring about if Avery or EC was on the roster or not when we didn't resign Prospal. It's going to be a huge failure if W2 doesn't light it up somewhere.

Wolski has to play with more of an edge... he plays so gingerly.

I hope Lecavalier can regain his 100 point form.

Shoulder injuries seem to take a bit out of the player (Jagr too, when he got injured in the 2006 SC playoffs).

Does anyone else get NHL network? They screwing up NHL on the Fly - they no longer show every goal from every game. They show some goals and then say stuff like "detroit then scored two more goals" ? wtf - show the goals !!!

you might be thinking of someone else cause we never had a chance to sign him. he was drafted in the 2nd round 44th overall in 2008 by sabres (we took stepan at 51).

1 game and were already making grandiose claims on keeping 1 player over another being a huge mistake....and using the word hindsight after 1 game?

whoa.

How far do you expect some of that hindsight to go? "We never play a rookie on the top line." Dubinsky played with Jagr. Stepan got time on the top line last year.

If we got 2 points instead of 1 yesterday there would be a completely different outlook today. The offense looked disjointed and rusty and they still put up two. Last year we needed everything to click for us to score 2 goals. Wait until they mesh and get rolling. No one will be talking about Prospal or any former Rangers... maybe just Jagr.

whoa.
While it's clearly a little too early to say Prospal is going to have an incredible year I understand the disappointment in not retaining him. Knowing what we know now who wouldn't want Prospal over Avery and EC?

The Sabres are winning 4-1 again...this is going to be a SCARY regular season team, although I doubt their playoff potential.

Adam with 2G 2A 4P thus far.
