Maybe his lack of an assist is due to him being far and away the best player on his line/team when it comes to scoring goals.

He has 11+0? That's quite rare...

Damn, that is one hell of a goalscoring start. How did he look in the Ducks camp?

He looked pretty good in camp. He plays really well on the PK because of his speed

good. not as good as Holland and maybe Palmieri.

Next year he will have a really good chance at the top 6.

He is also very good on the PK which many dont know about him.

Impressive, but I'm still worried about how his game will translate to the NHL level. Sure he can blow past anyone in juniors with his overpowering speed and physical attributes, but for the next level he need to have something extra. Judging from what I have seen and his stats, he doesn't seem to gave a ton of hockey sense, which really separates your average speedster from a true NHL sniper.

What are his stats going to look like in the NHL? 40-10?

Same. I'm very happy he's having such an explosive start in the dub, but I'm worried the type of game he's playing right now, won't provide him very many goals at the pro level. I really wish he could have played in the AHL this year, as he's clearly too good for the dub and he'd learn that he needs to play differently offensively, especially without the puck. He does have a killer shot though, which I think will separate him from the sjostroms of the world.

The Oilers sent Pitlick, Hamilton, and Martindale to the AHL, and all 3 still could of play in the juniors. All 3 looked good in the one pre-season they had with Barons. Pitlick is centring the 1st line with the OKC Barons.

I agree they should of sent him to the AHL to improve his game, he'll get tons of TOI with Tigers though.

Etem can't play in the AHL he was born 1992 so too young.

Etem doesn't exhibit a ton of creativity-but so what? He's got projectable size, is an absolute burner, has a goal-scoring touch, and can play in all three zones. Sounds like a prototypical winger to me. Put him with a playmaker and he'll put the puck in the net. Reminds me of Tony Amonte a bit.

Said a few months back that I expected him to lead the league in goals and maybe even score 50.

He'll be the first player get to 70 since 99' if he stays down and stays healthy. He's clearly the best player on the ice when you watch him.. It's not fair. LOL

Etem was a step above everyone last night, it really wasn't fair for everyone else. His linemates Tochkin and Shinkaruk were just feeding him with opportunities. Didn't seem to pass much at all. But he knows where to be on the ice. Could of had 5 goals but missed on the penalty shot.

I was at the game last night when he scored the 4 goals. He is amazing! Fast, hard on the puck and a great nose for the net. He made the Victoria players look like 12 year olds out there. He will be a 30- 40 goal scorer in the NHL in a couple of years. What a great pick for the ducks. His game is a lot like Dany Heatley, but with speed. He's gonna be a good'er.

As someone else said, Etem is not AHL eligible because of the CHL to pro transfer agreement.

Ya he is obviously a step ahead of everyone. I just hope he can keep it up and work on his defensive and PK at the same time.

Very impressed by his start. He's going to score a ton of goals this season. Looks too good for the WHL.

I just wish he could be in the AHL with Holland-Palmieri right now. I hate the transfer agreement in cases like this.
