Interesting because Boyle's 21 goals, Zucc's 6, and Rupp's 9 from last year have something to say about that. That is 36 goals my friend. And don't even think about getting literal.

We're lucky to be 0-0-2 right now and not 0-2-0

It should also be noted that the Sabres are absolutely running through the teams that we **** the bed against...

It's early, take the points, enjoy the fact that Hank isn't in mid-season mode but he's in April mode and improve.

I hate the fact that Torts has split up Gabby and Richards already, the line juggling in that game was absurd...absolutely absurd.

Also 0/7 on the PP, really Sullivan?

Thank god the PK was 6/6 mostly backboned by Hank otherwise that would've been an ugly loss, and this board would be unreadable right now.

Nothing will change until Tortorella is gone. He hasn't done anything with this team and he never will.

They now have what, a week of "time off" before the next game ? (next saturday isnt it ?).

Hopefully they'll get settled in properly back home... and come out a lot better in game 3.

Silverfish, to be fair, the Sabres weren't on a 12 day Euro-trip. The Rangers are understandably definitely tired of all this crap. Let them get back to NA and rest for a week, then when they kick the **** out of the Isles, it'll all be fine.

Dubinsky, Perry fight.

So the ref decides it wasn't a fight and only gives double minors????

Was that so he didn't have to kick Perry out for the undone tie-down????

Player of the year: Hank. I'm happy that we leave with 2 points, not happy with the way we played at all. Disgusting. Lundqvist and Callahan are our best players, and our top line has showed up at times (Richards is the man), and most of our d-corp has been very good. But the PP blows, everyone past the players I mentioned above and Anisimov have sucked hard, and right now I'm really not liking the Rupp signing. 1.5 for him when that could've gone to Vinny Prospal, somebody who can play with Gaborik.

One can suspect, hehe.

They dropped their gloves and went at it (no punches was landed though).. but its still what i'd define as a fight at least..

Honestly, wtf was up with that. Perry's jersey wasn't tied down, nor was Blake's. Neither of them got ejected. And of our 6 or 7 penalties today, I'd say 3 of them were horse ****. The refs have been unbearable in these first two games, today was way too much. That boarding call on Callahan, the hooking call on one of the dmen, etc... the calls today were horse ****.

Meh. Good teams overcome adversity. Most of the calls, I'd say, were pretty fair. I questioned the Callahan boarding call at first, but it was legitimate, IMO. He hit him from behind, and he jumped, although ever so slightly.

The Rangers have their work cut out of them to "kick the **** out of the Isles"

The week off is a blessing and a curse, it's too much time in between games and Torts has to do everything he can to make sure the Rangers aren't a step slow coming out of the gate because you know the Isles always play like a stanley cup caliber team against the Rangers.

Believe me, I know that. But that doesn't mean it won't happen.

Special treatment to star players is still alive and well.

All I have to say to you guys is, I'm elated the Ducks never have to see Lundqvist more than 2 times a season, at most. That guy is just insane. I like the Rangers, so hopefully your team picks it up back home and hopefully both of our teams work on their PPs...

Dan Girardi was my POG yesterday and he gets it again today. An absolute beast both games, we would be lost without him.

Lunqvist and McDonagh get HM's.

Seems to me like you're just attacking the guy that you targeted before the season started. Is Rupp an NHL player? Stepan? Boyle? Wolski? Because none of them have been better than MZA. Other than our top line and Arty and Cally, our forwards have sucked.

What i cant understand is how Richards gets a star at all (yes, he scored a goal, but the other 59 minutes and 55 seconds he and the puck hated eachother).

Then again, the same applied to most of the team

Pretty much a horrible game. Nothing positive from the forwards. The Ducks got smacked around pretty good yesterday, so you knew they were going to tighten things up.

I expect this kind performance in December or January. That's been the norm for the last few seasons. I certainly didn't expect to see a complete lack of effort for 65 minutes in Game 2.

Over two games, i am only impressed with three things:

1) Richards' skill.
2) Callahan finding a way to work even harder.
3) The entire defense -- as young as they are, they have been outstanding without Staal.

Two games in a row where the Rangers couldnt handle the heavy forecheck. The Isles are going to come at them like rabid dogs.

Long trip to Europe? HBO? Winter Classic? Garden Renovations?

How about we trade away all the PR garbage for 60 straight minutes of up-tempo, in-your-face hockey?

God forbid.

Oh he's made it VERY easy for me. Ive been saying as soon as he gets back on NHL sized ice against NHL players he'd disappear. So far I'm looking spot on.

Your almost implying he's allowed to suck because others have too. That's just an awful argument.
