Da Costa is reminding me of Briere out there at times.

Karlsson wasn't exactly good in the first two periods. He's still a mess defensively.

That being said, at least he has that offensive upside that guys like Gonchar aren't bringing.

1) We had discussions about 3 offensive lines instead of a 3rd line checking line and it was said that we don't have enough offensive talent to have 3 offensive lines. Perhaps it loses it's impact after scoring 5 goals, but we don't have enough offensive talent for 3 lines and a couple of goals when the opposition get lazy after the game is out of reach isn't changing that.

2) The Leafs just gave up 5 goals against a bottom feeder that is at least $10M under the cap. This why people don't take them seriously as a playoff team. To those who are promoting Toronto as a rebuild we should emulate... if we spent that $10+ million on small 2nd liners, we would be Toronto.

Edit: Noticed the post below. A bunch of tweets indicate he had 4 assists though.

For all the talk about our supposed problems scoring, it's been the opposite so far. Defensive lapses killing us on every goal.

I'll say this, though - the Sens are going to be very, very good in a few years.

4 assists tonight, 1 against Detroit. Or at least that is how it was scored originally. Has something changed?

Even a team like Detroit had a meltdown in the third period after leading 5-0.

Got this baby off the main board:

Need to work on defensive systems as a whole.
