Such a sense of entitlement for a third liner.

He was going for his stick initially. His stick getting knocked away led to the fight.
Also was only a roughing call.

Malkin should have been kicked out. Ridiculous. Fighting without his jersey tied down, only gets a roughing penalty.
Let stars be stars, say the refs.

I'm not sure how many refs actually pay attention to this anymore. Similar thing happened in the ANA-BUF game.

They probably didn't feel like enforcing the dumbest rule in hockey and because glencross has been a ****** all game haha

That said, borderline penalty. It was just because of height difference.
Maybe it's the angle I'm seeing on CBC, just seems like shoulder goes into his chest first then rides up and sideways.

Watching live, it looked like his tricep, possibly his shoulder, caught him on the chin.
I don't have a huge issue with these hits, but the NHL has made their bed on this.
Really have to wonder what the Hell is going on with the referees though, I have no idea how they came up with a double minor for hi-sticking. I thought it was a mistake on the scoresheet, but it hasn't changed.

Hated seeing the linesmen jump in there. Let 'em go.

Well, too be fair, it isn't acceptable for you to cut in front of someone or body check people at Starbucks either... Just saying

When Engelland skated after Sarich, Sarich cross checked him in the face. So I guess that means they weren't going to penalize the initial hit?

Somebody explain how the game was played 5-on-5 after the Cooke/Engelland incident. SOMEBODY!
The hit wasn't too bad.. a 2 minute minor for sure though. I am just shocked at the officiating.
EDIT: Not a Pens fan, but you gotta wonder about it as an NHL fan though.

Really? That was it? I expected worse to be honest.
Nice sell job and then jumping into the pile by Cooke. Yeah you weren't really hurt.

Not a bad hit. 2 minutes was enough.
/pens fan /loves cooke
Cooke did the "quiet room" thing, though, so he wasn't just buying it.

We will see. He did have a bit of bambi legs, but then he did go into the fight.
He hasn't returned yet, if he returns in the third, I might think he was buying it.

I'm fairly sure I saw the referee's arm in the air before the scrum, though.

Let's enforce the dumbest rule in hockey when it doesn't even apply to the situation, since there was no fight. Couple slashes, face washes and a scrum =/= fight.
You just mad cause of the score

I hear yeah. I'm surprised that Sarich didn't get a double-minor for his cross check on that other Pen (not sure who it was; Letestu?)

It's funny how the dumbest rules in hockey are the ones they might call on your team.

2 minutes for what? Playing hockey?
The hit was fine, no reason to penalize. The stuff after was what was called, and that was fair.
