I have it on good authority that the #Habs have sent Blair Betts back to Philly because he did not pass his physical.

I always wondered what would happen if a player ever failed physical.
Also wondered how could we claim a player who is injured.

Hahaha, I find this extremely humorous because of how excited you all were about a marginal player.

Guess Engqvist will have to suffice for now. Who knows maybe he'll grow into the role and we won't have to sign or trade for a fourth liner.

What is such a failure about it?

They saw a player they were interested in on waivers, claimed him, did a physical on him, he failed, so they sent him back.

I assume he failed his physical because he was hurt. My next question the becomes: Is philly even allowed to put an injured player on waivers? Their GM is very sketchy with cap crap.

Is there any penalty that can be taken against Philly for waiving an injured player?

I really dont see how Flyers aren't fined.

I mean if he was injured AFTER... then I dont get how we can send him back..

Holmgren is a ******. How many times as been caught screwing around with contracts and waiver things now?

Should get a penalty for not following protocol(I'm assuming you can't waive an injured player).

Fail in that this ended up happening to us. We claimed him to play prime PK minutes and take face-offs, and now we learn he's damaged goods.

I'm not blaming Gauthier or anything, just that it's ridiculous this ended up happening.

Now we have a hole in our lineup, unless anyone here actually believes Engqvist is ready for action (which I'm not sure he is).
