Nice to see Weber showing some moxy. Liked that our players were burying those shots in the top corners of the net. Can't really blame Pavelec on any of the goals.

Reading the mainboard here is always so much fun whenever the Habs win and the haters come out.. It's almost as much fun as reading on this board when they lose..

My one comment is that he is a big big guy, yet he goes down really early, should learn to use his size like Price does.

The refs were TERRIBLE. For both.

They lost because of Oduya.

Might be stating the obvious here, but as long as we can score goals, we can contend for a Stanley Cup.

Price is that good.

So pumped from the win, I thought the Habs would get wrecked for the Jets' home opener. Couldn't have gone much better than it did tonight minus the ****ing injuries.

Can't wait for Eller & Markov to come back (and now Cammy)

At full strength and with the continuing adaptation of Diaz and Emelin, we are a solid solid team.

Edit: And yes, Price is THAT good .. anybody who doesn't say he is top 3 in the league is dreaming in technicolor

Price had a strong game, but Winnipeg had a lot of low percentage shots. He only had to be good, not great. I was pissed they allowed the Winnipeg goal, macLean should have been off for goaltender interference, it was quite blatant also. Also why the heck did we NOT get a PP on the blatant coss check on PK?

I thought Diaz Weber and Yemelin played well, though if Spacek is out long term I'd like to see us go get a guy like McCabe to add depth.

For anyone complaining about the refs, about 30 seconds before Bufs interference penalty, someone behind the Jets net was holding Gionta's stick, that one should've been called.

What a great night, Thanksgiving dinner, Habs win, Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, and the season finale of Breaking Bad!

So next game are we looking at;

Moen - Plekanec - Cole
Pacioretty - Gomez - Gionta
Desharnais - Eller - Kostitsyn
Darche - Engqvist - ??

Emelin, Weber, Gorges, Diaz, Gill, Subban

... Any word on Spacek? I could see us signing another UFA D if Spacek isn't ready.

One of the benefits of all these injuries to start the season is that its going to force Martin to play the young players ( Weber, Diaz, Emelin, Enqvist ) so we will see what they have...

He made bunch of saves on tipped and screen shots. personally that's what made it a great night for him

diaz is awsome!

Moen stepped up his game hard tonight.
Matter of time gomez line will start pumping hard.

Cole got plenty of even strength time but he doesn't play a special team for Montreal so his ice time takes a hit in comparison. He's only here for the ES so it doesn't matter as much as people are saying.

So far Plek has a 57% faceoff win. If he keeps this up he'll get serious Selke consideration.

Must be why they let that goal stand despite MacLean clearly interfering with Price...also a no call on the blatant cross check to PK's chicklets.

Buffyglien was brutal for them, can't see how taht guy plays defense.

Good game, I was really impressed by Weber/Emelin/Diaz and the rest of the defensemen were good as well. Emelin in particular impressed me: drew a couple penalties and didn't get out of position going for the big hit.

Sergei Berezin scored the Habs' 10,00th goal. Milestones don't always work out the way you would script them.

If Eller is back he takes Kostitsyn's spot on the third line, Desharnais switches to wing and Kostitsyn move to the top line IMO.

Seeing Weber back playing in his natural position was an eye opener. The kid really stepped up when the team needed someone to.

Good win, let's hope we get everyone back soon.

Weren't the officials from in and around the Winnipeg area? And the Wpg fans are crying the officials were against them? Hilarious...

2 of 3 goals scored against Price have occured while players were laying on top of him inside of the net.
