Impressions of Kondratiev so far this year?

We have one for Tyutin, just wondering peoples opinions on Drats.

He's impressive me more then I though he would as a rookie(especially since his preseason wasn't all that great), i think he'll be a solid top 4 dman in a few years, but he is showing some very nice signs in his first few NHL games. I really wish they would use him on the PP though, he's got a cannon of a shot and isn't afraid to use it.

Obviously my expeditions weren't as high for Drats as they were for Tyutin this season.

I say better than expected because my expectations were not too high. I think he has been the rangers 2nd best defenseman.

Better than I expected, because he looked bad in preseason imo.

Yep, it's what we've been calling him since we aquired him.

Better than expected, with more ice time he'll learn more, and I agree would be nice to see him on a PP.

About what I expected. He plays about as well as I wanted at times and at others makes the rookie mistakes I expect. No surprises with him for me.

Kondratiev has been fine. He makes mistakes but the skills and effort are there. He seems to want to hit more than some of the other D. A great shot.

Him and Toots have been about on par, which is to say about as expected. Tyutin has shown more offensive flair and 'Drats has taken the body more. Both have been up and down, as rookies are want to do. However, 'Drats has had visible improvements in his game.

I couldn't have put it better myself.

He has taken a few too many penalties though, and it seems the other team scores almost every time he's in the penalty box.

I'm am between...

met expectations and below expectations. He had much more composure when I saw him in Hartford, and came to the NHL, where he's played limited games, and chased puck carriers too much to the point where he was too often out of position. For the most part, he's worked out those kinks, save a recent game, but has become less aggressive physically and offensively. He is improving, and I hope he continues to improve since in the beginning of the season I made some bold statements like he impressed me more, albeit during a very short time period, than Tyutin.
