Eh, same thing will happen to every single rookie in the NHL. Not just us.

Yeah, except we will have 4 of them once Schenn is up.

Not if Couturier is forced to juniors...

I'd take a guess that if/when Schenn is on the roster, he'll take Rinaldo's place (if we can keep Couturier), and Rinaldo is either sent down or used as 13th forward (if we can somehow find it in ourselves to waive Shelley), so we'd only see three rookies most nights. Unless Gustafsson is called up as well.

Why would you say a thing like that? Read is 25 and 14 minutes a game will not kill him. And Sean, do you think with all this talent on the team he is going to play to many minutes and get worn out? I could see a young player on a suck ass team who had to carry the load get worn out ... maybe. I am more concerned with Chris and Kimmo playing too many minutes. JHC Beef enjoy this.

I am enjoying it. Trust, me, I've had a blast watching the games. That doesn't mean I don't still have concerns.

Just because Read is 25 doesn't mean he's ever played anything like an NHL+playoff schedule before. I love what I've seen from him so far. But to think that he's going to keep it going nonstop all year is absurd.

Rookies hit walls. They get tired. It happens...and we have 4 rookies once Schenn is called up. This is a legitimate concern.

edit: Actually, it ought to be 3 rookies if Rinaldo is sent down. That's still a lot, though.

Fine then, we are 2-0 with a shutout. Clearly nothing will change or go wrong and the cup will be ours by December!!

Post game interviews to Sports. ru by Bryz and Volchenkov

As Sports.ru apprised Russian fans about Flyers- Jersey game both Bryz and Volchenkov answered some questions:

Q: How do you feel yourself in Philadelphia comparing to "Coyotes"?

Bryz: I am facing fewer shots.

Q: Which element did you pay the most attention to during off season?

Bryz: shish-kebabs.

Q: You have spent so much time in the USA. Do you feel yourself more American or Russian?

Bryz: I will always be Russian!

Q: Have you been following Russian news?

Bryz: Of course I follow the political events in Russia.

Q: and what do you think?

Bryz: About what?

Q: About events there?

Bryz: But nothing has been hapenning there.

After that Bryz informed the reporter that he had bought a house and had moved all his Russian classic books and will be reading Tolstoy. (CSKA)

Volchenkov's part:

AV: "They showed a clip in memory of "Locomotiv" before the game. It brought tears to my eyes.

Every NHL team has been fundraising to help the families of the killed guys; there are moments of silence before the games; they show video clips and establish funds. It's such a great contrast with Russia where there was not even national mourning. It feels like an American team was killed not Russian" voice cracked.

Shish Kebabs was funny. Volchenkov's bit...not so much.

Pete: Oh yeah. Hopefully there aren't any major speedbumps this year..having a goalie who can steal games will probably help a lot in that regard.

Is he trying to get Bryzgalov to comment on Putin's entry into the Presidential election?

Hmmm...
