That's a LOT of pressure on the poor guy:
- being an overaged european in the CHL
- having to be a leader off the ice too
- playing for a pro-contract
- having the team's success resting squarely on his shoulders
- having seen he still needs to improve on many fronts to reach the NHL

All that after having been through 2 pre-season camps and coming away from it without a contract. Hopefully it doesn't crush him.

I really hope we sign this guy, he seems to have a good head, decent skills and will have taken a leadership role under a Sutter. He's one of my favourite sens prospects.

That is exactly right. The pressure to perform on this guy is immense, especially considering how weak the Red Deer Rebels will be this season.

For those wondering about Wick's special teams minutes, it looked as though he was on the top powerplay unit, playing the point. In terms of penalty killing, I wasn't paying close enough attention to Red Deer's unit.
