Zach Parise likes Broadway

Get it done Glen:

Quote:
When asked about New York, a look came across his face like a wonderful nightmare; like a screaming eagle that flew too close to glory and retreated. “Let’s face it- everyone loves the hussle and bustle of New York” Parise said, a twinkle in his eye. “It’s one of the reasons I want to stay in the area. The glittery sparkling lights of broadway, tall buildings…it has it all.”

He also said yadda yadda I want to stay a Devil yadda yadda Lou Yadda yadda my agent.

Ok cap geeks. Tell us how the Rangers can fit this kid on the roster. Just for fun.

If Zach is smart, and I think he is, he should start dropping some key phrases into all his post game interviews.

Original 6

I loved growing up in Minnesota.

Broadway

Orange is my favorite color

I love Poutine

I have this feeling that this thread won't last too long. Chariot can you link the thread on the main board? I couldn't find it.

Gone

Zuc - 1.75
Feds - 1.4
Wolski - 3.8
EC - .875
Drury Buyout - 2.05

That's 9.875 right there.

Re-sign prust at 1 mill (so loss .2 from current contract)
Add Kreider assuming .850 (replace Zuc on the 3rd line)
Re-sgn Del Zotto - 1.2 mill (so loss .2 from current contract)
Hagelin - .875
13th Forward - .850

That leaves 6.9 which assumes we sign a backup goalie to a Biron type contract, and whatever 7th man makes a Emmiger contract.

So the question is, will the cap go up?

Okay but what is the actual source of the quote? Without some reputable link it just looks like a fan made it up.... In which case this really should not be a thread because it's misleading.

Yeah, I mean who wouldn't want to play on a team who is constantly in the bottom 1/3 in attendance and finished 23rd in the league last season.

I think if you want Parise, you have to offer him a contract with a <5.5 cap hit. I only think that would work if it was really long. You may need to go Kovy style for it.

Did they really write "twinkle in the eye?"

He isn't coming here. The chance just went down from 1% to -5%

You do realise that the "Parise quote" was entirely made up by a sarcastic Devils fan, right?

It's funny how Devils fans have to come over here and try to convince everybody that he's never leaving.

Seriously? Who wouldn't want to play on a team that has three championships in most of our lifetimes, over the one that has just one?

On top of that, what he quoted, was written by a Devils fan, tongue in cheek.
