No Mods get paid (that I have ever heard of, heh).

I look at being a mod is like being a playground ref and making sure everyone is (should) be having a good time. I also sort of viewed as a bit of 'civic duty' to help out and hopefully create a good atmosphere here to attract more caps fans. Just look back at the oldest threads on this incarnation of hfboards as there were only a handful of regular posters.

Edit: I know that when I became a Mod I actually posted less and was not as active in spirited debates but that is on me. The again all I have to do is wait for Drake/Marshall (my brothers from another mother hfboard-style), who I tend to agree with 90% of the time, to post. /slack
