51 points in 49 games is pretty good, but anyone have any details on his skating, passing, physical condition etc.

And does anybody have any news on what hes planning on doing for next year.

There was a rumor about him joining the habs... but now theres a rumor saying he wont!

There are rumors of him returning every year. Pens, Oilers, Habs... I'd just ignore it. Chances are he won't be back.

and no offense to the habs, but why would he want to play there?

He butt-whipped Team USA in World championship earlier today on his own, so obviously physical condition is good enough for international level

Could a team sign him now that's not still left in the playoffs??or does it have to be july 1st??how does that work with khl players I know that during the year he would have to clear waivers correct but could he be signed as a free agent before free agency even begins??

Jagr won't go to the Habs, if he is going to come back, it's going to be to a contender. Sorry Habs fans! IMO, if he does choose to make a return, it'll be to the Pittsburgh Penguins for a cup run next year.

Okay lets be legit, Jagr is probably staying in the KHL.
uugghh, okay where to begin. First, Omsk wanted more than anything to have Jagr back another year. But Jagr says he wants to go back to the Czech league for his last year. Now Jagr is saying that Omsk is not very interested, and that he is talking with SKA right now (wow what a surprise there

), all the while Jagr is teasing people in NA saying all these nice things about NHL cities.

There is no actual report from Jagr or his agent himself that any contract or even negotiation has been arranged.

It doesn't mean if SKA has wanted Jagr that he's going to play for them.

I think he will do what's right and play for the Penguins for one year and then retire as a Penguin.

makes sense, but he wanted to retire in Czech republic and will his body handle 82 game season?

I don't know there are many possibilities and until a contract has been signed, we can never assume or be sure with Jagr.

I think Jagr will sign in the NHL if he knows he can handle the 82 game schedule and if he knows he will be a successful player, he won't play if he's going to score less than PPG.

Negotiating is not the same thing as signing and I think this is just a battle between the KHL and the NHL.

There were reports that the KHL didn't even want Jagr to know about the invitation last year to the Penguins ceremony night.

I wouldn't say major drop off. He had a 70 point season which is good for anyone over 35 and also lead the league in playoff scoring at the point of the Rangers exit with 15 points in 10 games. He also played his last 3 seasons in the NHL completely injury free not missing a single game. Considering his age all of those things are quite impressive, I think he got some serious dough though from Omsk.
