I played like 90% of my games since 09 on the right side, but after the last night I played, a case was made that I would be better on the left so I might try and make a more permanent switch to LD.

I recommend using the "Overhead" camera angle if you aren't using it already. It allows you to see more of the ice (cross-creases, d-to-d passes), and you won't have that annoying camera spin behind the net.

It takes a while to get used to since the camera follows the puck instead of you, but it really is the best camera angle in the game.

I've been playing left so far but I'll try right.

I'm willing to play on the right if you're on. The flexibility will do me some good.

You can press select to change the focal point of the overhead camera from the puck to you and back again. I find on D that it's easier to switch back and forth as necessary (if you're trailing hte play watch the puck so you know where to set up, if you're getting back on D, focus on you so that you can see things develop from your own perspective without getting turned around.)

Heh, yeah I'm too lazy to do that. I only change the focal point when I break my stick and have to find my way to the bench.

Lol, i've been lazy enough to not swap over before, and i'd run to the bench and come back on screen to see i still had no stick...lol then i'll swap.

Actually that build is far from soft. I hate to be that *** that says stats, but I average around 2.8 ppg in the EASHL with almost 200 games played with no cheesing. It's a great build, can withstand all hits, and never falls down from lack of balance, easily the best build I've ever used, try it you won't be disappointed.

Yeah, I'm calling your bluff. Face a team with even a little checking and you will get creamed at least once (probably a dozen times) if you run base balance/strength. I have 77 for my card right now and I still get run over sometimes.

Also I believe discipline only affects body checking if you look at the description. It only lowers the chances for elbows and other "undisciplined" penalties. I don't think it has any effect on tripping or high sticks.

It's a good build for danglers, but I agree with Costco. It is very soft. There is absolutely no way you dodge all hits. Face a guy with a few points in checking and you'll get crushed. Heck, I knocked a few guys down and I have no checking. The game came out just about a month ago, so maybe you got lucky and played a lot of people with low cards. In a few months, you will get crushed as a forward if you don't have at least 80 in balance and strength.
Your attributes could also be arranged a little better. Since you have no checking, discipline is pointless. In my experience in 09-11, that attribute only affects the chances of getting elbowing or boarding minors. It has no effect on stick check. If you're a forward with 90+ speed, you should also have more than 80 endurance.

Yea looks like a cool build, would fit in a good passing team for sure. What height do you usually run with this build?

I'm from the Avs board, but I played a drop in game with one of your members late tonight. I think it was something with "clone" in the username. I think he had 5 assists. I was asking him questions over the mic, but I don't think he had one as he didn't reply or he was ignoring me. I played LD in that game. Just want to say GG dude.

Nice. I usually automatically move to the left when Nem is playing.

I think I've only played 1 club game this season. I need to play more.
