So...Simmonds and Clifford has to happen right?

That'd be awesome if Clifford busts Simmonds jaw.

huh? why? I highly doubt Simmonds will fight any of the kings, I could see Richards possibly fighting a flyer though. Why would you want Simmonds jaw busted though? If they did fight, i would bet on Simmonds, I love clifford and all but he doesnt have any kind of strategy other than just going crazy, Simmonds would likely pop him in the chin.

Simmonds did well the other night against Clarkson, a much tougher opponent than he usually takes on. Did I miss something between Simmonds and Clifford?

Richards won't be asking anybody to dance. It really isn't his thing, and he should let somebody else handle the fisticuffs based on the fights I've seen him in. A more likely scenario has Richards asking some of the Flyers to join him for some post-game cocktails.

I'll be at both of these games. On the glass tomorrow wearing a 1980's vintage crown jersey. I've worn a Kings Jersey in the past to Philly, but not sure for this Saturday. If my wife wasn't coming it would certainly be worn. She has a tendency to confront everybody who has something to say.... and in Philly there is no shortage of that.

Because he is on the Flyers and I like the Kings. When Kings players fight, I want them to bust the other guys jaw. That is what I'm hoping for every time there is a fight.

Didn't miss anything....but I would love to see that scrap. Two guys who straight throw without worrying too much about getting hit in the face.

Clifford has fought heavies, Wayne hasn't. Wayne has reach, big red dog has power. Clarkson sucks at fighting, I knew Simmonds would work him over.

Yes! As are the next 79 after that one. If the Kings lose one more game this season, Jack Johnson is going to hell and Mike Richards is going to rehab.

There's no way that I would want Simmonds fighting one of our own anytime soon. Heck, he's still one of our own as far as I'm concerned. Simmonds is probably my second favorite kings right behind Lappy. Simmonds could have been the heart & soul of our team and possibly our future team captain.

I never thought the Richards trade was as lopsided as many have thought because I know what Simmonds can bring to a team.

I'm just happy there's a game tomorrow. The wait between game 2 and game 3 feels longer than the off-season.

Clifford said Simmonds took him under this wing...it's new new, I don't think anyone will fight, maybe Westgarth-Shelley or Clifford-Zac Rinaldo. I think Walker is still hurt?

Clifford-Stoll-Richardson
Moreau-Lewis-Hunter

We couldn't get through the east without a trade with the Flyers it seems.

We get a 6th and Stefan Legein (that guy who retired a couple years ago) for futures

Other than the favorite King part, I agree 100%. Simmonds was one of my fav's (not of all time though) and I still consider him a King. I hope he has a wonderful season (just not against us) and I'll be rooting for him no matter where he plays.

It wouldn't shock me to see Simmonds pot 30 goals in a season either. That trade will look a lot more in favor of the Flyers in 3-5 years, but I still agree with the trade and why we made it.

just wait 'til Simmonds throws a cheap shot by hitting someone's balls with the butt end of his stick. Let's see how this board will feel then

Yep, totally agree. In fact, I will go a step further and say that I expect Simmonds to score 30+ goals in a season before his career is over. He's more than just a third line checking forward.

As for the 3-5 yrs down the road...I fully expect that the trade will look more and more in favor of the flyers by then, especially, if we haven't won a cup by then.
