Haven't played Blood Money in forever, but didn't 47 die at the end of the game?

Hitman series might be the deepest games outside some rpgs ever.

There's stuff on YT of ppl completing levels in ways I could never even dream about.

And that's why I love Hitman games (well, it's one of the reasons)

NO YOU DID NOT JUST say you let 47 die.

Spoil:
From what I remember, no, he was given a fake-death serum and he wakes up in the funeral and kills everyone in that last mission.

This is factually correct Great ending, it actually surprised me.

The first mission in Hitman 2 Silent Assassin was always my favourite. Also that one mission where you had to poison that guy's drink (I think he was a general or whatnot) at a party was cool too.

Finally a preview from E3....

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/117/1173626p1.html

Quote:
But as 47 barreled through an apartment building on the run, making his way through innocent bystanders (and taking out a cop with the aforementioned bong-kill), as he made his way to the lobby of the apartment in a stolen police uniform only to stumble on a SWAT team command center, as the player had to make the choice to grab a gun and kill everyone or try to hide in plain sight, it felt like a Hitman game to me. And when 47 walked out of the building, turned and made his way to a busy street and lost himself in the crowd, it felt like... coming home.
Sounds about right to me

Another new teaser trailer to salivate over too... although I hope sneaking in the shadows still takes precedence over mass killing

http://kotaku.com/5809367/hitman-abs...ng-any-punches

Nice bit of info from developer here

I can't wait for this. Great series. I don't remember finishing Blood Money because I had it for PS2 and the new next gen systems came out. I'd love to buy it used somewhere for 360 so I can freshen up. I just want to do the kids birthday party, lol.

Can't wait for this game.

I have loved all of the games, and I thought Blood Money was amazing. The level varieties, as well as killing methods gave the game a lot of replay value for me.

Thought this worthy of a little bump, 17 mins of gameplay.

17 minutes of pure awesome. I think this is officially my most anticipated game right now. Looks like so much fun, great sounding score, too.

*Sigh*

I wish the PS3 Slims still had backwards compatability. I miss playing Hitman 2: Silent Assassin so so much.

Anyone else wish they'd make an HD bundle of the three previously for PS2 Hitman games (Silent Assassin, Contracts, and Blood Money) for the PS3?

That would be so sick if they did that IMO.

I must say after doing a bit more reading about Hitman Absolution, I'm a bit skeptical about it's awesomeness.

Why?

- David Bateson will not be voicing Agent 47. (And so far, nobody knows why.)
- The game is only going to be set in the United States, with one portion taking place in Chicago.
- A new mode, called "Instinct", works much like the detective mode in Batman: Arkham Asylum.
- Players will no longer be able to manually save the game.
- The original soundtrack for the game is not composed by Jesper Kyd.

While the rest of the things I listed I guess you could say are minor personal gripes, I saw a screenshot of that "Instinct" thing and I facepalmed. Apparantly 47 is able see NPC's through the walls. It looks tacky and ridiculous, That whole thing seems dumbed down to me IMO. After all, a key component of past Hitman games was figuring out where guards and the like patrol around.

Here's the screenshot:

Another game added to my list:

Skyrim
Battlefield 3
Hitman 5
Skyward Sword
Arkham CIty

Most important game is Skyrim, everything else is secondary.

I'm not so worried about instinct mode or whatever it is - I'm assuming it can be turned off. The bolded items do definitely worry me. To a lesser degree, I'm not pleased about it all happening in the US, but if it's done well, I can live with that.

Holy crap that game looks great.

A true Hitman game with a bit more action sequences.

Can't wait!

Yeah I did read fortunately that that Instinct mode can be turned off. But it being implemented to begin with kinda ticks me off. Part of what makes the past Hitman titles so great is that they actually required patience and for you to think. I hate to see a great game like this be dumbed down (even if just slightly) to appeal to casual gamers and teenage kids.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from... I guess I'm just in an "I don't care" mood so long as the things I want end up in the game. I just hope that with the other changes, this isn't the instalment that jumps the shark. I've been wanting a new Hitman game for a LONG time, so I've got high expectations.

I know. I just quoted the page I was reading earlier where it said about how that Instinct thing will be similiar to that Detective mode in Arkham Asylum. They gave the comparison..not me.

SICK trailer, glad they finally released an official one, not just an E3 or teaser.
