I have a feeling Richards may be a little distracted tonight, looking ahead to Saturday's game.

Stoked for tonight's game! This will be my first King games since April 2010, and the 1st of 5 this year (including 3 in LA)

Plus my brand new Kings road jersey just arrived less then hour ago. So that's what I'll be wearing!

This might be slightly OT, but Richards has played wing in Philly, right?

I was just looking at capgeek and our UFA situation and it doesn't look good this offseason lol. We stand to lose guys like Mitchy, Stolly, and Penner. I was just thinking that with the back situation, that one of Scuds or Greener could be traded next year if Mitchy has another great season. Then that would leave room to bring up Voynov. Hopefully Penner has a really good year (30 G 30 A) and wants to stay, and Stolly we know wants to stay because of the way he is involved in the community and everything (plus building his new house).

So for next year I'm thinking...

Gags/Penner-Kopi-Williams
Richards-Lokti-Brown
Clifford-Stolly-Kozun/Toffoli
Lewis/Richardson/Czarnik/UFA vet

DD-JJ
Voynov-Mitchy
Martinez-Greener/Scuds
Muzzin

All I know is that guys like Lokti, Voynov, Kozun, Muzzin, and maybe even Toffoli will be ready next year, and we have to find a way to get them games on the big team.

I predict a 4-2 Kings Win. JJ with a goal and assist and a minus 1

Too soon? It's only game 3 and you are worried about next season?

Richards played centre in philly, but he played LW for Team Canada at the Olympics with Toews and Nash.

As for assuming players will stay in an organization because they like a city, doesn't mean they'll stay. They have to make as much money as possible, especially the lower paid guys, so they'll generally follow the money. It doesn't mean they won't return to the city after they retire.

But the time is NOW!

At least according to the LA Kings.

Anyone else not comfortable with all the praise the Kings are getting with zero accomplishments? This team hasn't shown an ability to handle success, especially when they get it from the press and opponents.

From Hammond:

Quote:
...this morning first-year coach Peter DeBoer was asked for his thoughts on facing the Kings…

DEBOER: “For me, they present a lot of the same challenges Philly presents. A big, dynamic group of forwards that really play a hard game. Obviously any defense that includes Drew Doughty gives you a lot of problems, both on the rush and in the offensive zone. They’re going to be a tough team to handle. There’s a reason they’re one of the favorites this year. So it will be a great test for us.’’

Kings all ready beat 1 free agent that didn't want to come to LA. Time to add another to the list.

Are there any games out of 82 that _don't_ count as "please win"?

Kurrilino no offense kurri or was it someone else ? I dunno I stopped looking at that thread when it looked like he was ahead.

I thought Ziggy got it? I'm sure it wasn't Kurri, unless the board lost its marbles.

When we secure a playoff spot, please win games shift to stay healthy games.

Great GDT as always, but I was hoping for some pictures of Uncle Lou's face in the urinals from last season.

Yepper. Just befor the SJ series. Oh well. Wondered why you never replied. Lol. Anyway, Im on the southside if you're ever down that way. Maybe we should get together and road trip to Durham when the boys play Carolina in Feb.

I also go to Norfolk when Man plays the Admirals. THAT is a good time.
