You are 100% wrong. The Sabres owned the Amerks during the 80's through the mid-90's when the Rigas family took over and sold them to Steve Donner.

Wow, Hutch not getting the facts right? That's a shock.

He does raise a good question though. Without an affiliation, how can you expect a team to compete competitively?

Ask Bakersfield. Lol

I'm not sure but Bingham signed us a nice roster of his own. The affiliations are more one sided than people believe. It's more guys going up than the higher ups helping you.

Bako did deals w/ both ANA and MIN BEFORE this season, so IT didn't answer the ?, GMR.

I don't have an answer for you yet but Bako is affiliation free this year.

In 09-10 they had no AHL Affiliate, just the Ducks. Cause Anahiem had no AHL team.

The last unaffiliated team I can think of was Johnstown. That didn't go so well but Johnstown shouldn't be compared. That was a bad situation in where they TRIED to keep the operation alive when it shoulda died.

THERE are quite a few that are independent, GMR, Utah is a prime example
