I'm done with Hemsky. The guy is made of glass and is a liability to the team. You never know if he's going to finish a game and than you have a vacant spot that could have been utilized by Omark tonight.

What's the point in re-signing him? They might as well let him walk. GM's will be leery about signing him for league minimum with his games played over the past three years.

By the way, he's now officially untradeable. On the bright side we can probably re-sign him at a fair price.
What are you talking about.

Trade him to LA

If he misses any significant amount of games again, trade him or offer him one year contract.

Hopefully it's just a little tight or something and he just needs a little rest. It certainly is disconcerting, I really feel for the guy, this must be frustrating as hell for him.

I'm guessing it was just feeling tight and the team's approach this year is "if you don't feel better than 95%, don't play." I expect he'll do some more strengthening drills and be back after one or two games out.

Omark isn't the issue, the issue is that on top of losing a guy to injury you have another player on the 4th line who has played a grand total of 3 minutes tonight.

It's absolutely beyond me as to why you dress a player only to play him 6 shifts in a game.

Hopefully, once Eager is healthy we won't be seeing much of Hordi.

I THINK you're talking about Hordi? Totally agree though. I'd rather have a guy like Tik (love being able to say that- "tik" as in HarTIKainen) out there who can play on the 4th line on a regular shift and is tough as nails in place of a light-heavyweight fighter who can't play a regular shift.

Is this shoulder going to be career-threatening or what?

That may sound pretty extreme, but I remember Hemsky saying during the pre-season that he can't lift his arm over his head and doesn't know if he ever will, and now he injures it making a pass?

I think he was talking about Petrell. I thought Petrell was suppose to be great on PK's? Either Renney seems like a complete moron for dressing him just so he could bump Jones up to the third line. What a joke of 2nd pp unit with Horcoff and Jones.

Because he's still the best offensive player on this team until one of the kids grow into that role. This team has looked like crap in this game since he got injured.

Link? I cant believe that for a second. If he couldnt do that 6 months after the surgery, they wouldve re-done it. And long ago.

I do remember him saying something like that in an interview BEFORE his surgery though.

Is anyone really suprised "the glassman" is injured? Trade him while we can still get a late first.

Reynard just misunderstood what was said. In training camp Hemsky said he wasn't supposed to lift his hands above his head yet, not that he couldn't. That was before he was 100%, he is allowed and can do it now.

This board is ticking me off right now. I'm not coming back in here or the GDT today.

That might have something to do with the coach and his insistence of having a defensive presence on each line.

It matters very little how good Hemsky is if he cant play in the games.

Well, we'll just have to see how many games he plays this year. We shoul reserve judgement until we're past game 2.
