One step at a time. Anything more then 20 minutes would be an improvement at this point

With all the new personnel, overseas road trip etc..it shouldn't come as a surprise to experience short term hurdles to start the season. Once these players settle in we should get a better idea about this team...next month?

I said the Kings would have a rough start. It's to be expected with new players and starting out in Europe...then coming to the East... then finally back to the West.

Correct, I prepared myself for a slow start. I expected the Kings to play pretty bad for the whole month of October. This doesn't surprise me at all.

A lot of new faces+ Euro Trip= Slow start.

What a lackluster start so far, perhaps my expectations are far too high.

Not a big deal. Lot of new guys that have to find chemistry with each other, plus that Europe thing. We didn't have a single successful line last season as it was, that is the scary part, but the pieces are there even for this coach to figure it out, and I expect he will.

Then you will get your wish of him being fired. You should be happy about that.

I actually agree with you. It is a manageable problem, unlike last season. They could always bring up Loktionov or trade for a couple of solid 3rd line guys at the deadline and not give up a ton.

I'll take our top 6 right now and an awful bottom 6 over what we had last year with Smyth, Stoll and Parse as top 6 forwards.

Totally. If it's the same effort a month down the road, you have a reason to *****. I'm sure I will.

I don't think he should be fired yet, but he needs to be on a short leash. NJ probably makes the playoffs last year if they fired MacLean sooner. I don't want the Kings to be struggling as they enter November and just stick with Murray through the end of the season.

The one constant since Murray has arrived is the bipolar effort by the Kings players. Most of the players are now different, yet we seem the same weak passes, lack of creativity and flow.

It's nice to blame the travel, but that is just another excuse.

If they play like this against Philly, it will be another Buffalo game, easy win for Philly. Philly will dominate and Quick will have to stand on his head again for another Kimgs' point.

When will the Kings dictate the flow of a game? When will they not have to get their energy from the other team?

There was zero fight tonight from the Kings. The couldn't finish early and then just played sloppy from the second period on.

Disappointed with the play of the Kings since training camp. We'll have to be happy with the "it's early" card for now. But points lost now can cost a playoff spot and a division.

- They still fail to score at even strength.

- Penner looked painfully slow out there.

- Not sure what has gotten into Dustin Brown but he doesn't appear to be initiating contact any more.

- The bottom six isn't a liability defensively, which is a positive, but they also don't help much to alleviate pressure from the top six, which is a negative.

- The Kopitar line makes things happen. Unfortunately, they are the only line that makes things happen.

Kopi's line is beast, (Murray don't touch it). Richards needs Penner and Brown to play better.

Clifford has not looked good, he no doubt misses Simmer creating speed and space on the other side. Lewis looks ok, so does BR. Hunter had a better game, but he needs to play like that all the time.

Kings have 3 points without Westgarth and zero with him. He's better in the pressox.

When are the Kings going to stop settling for moral victories and start performing?

Not a surprising start to the season. If they don't have together by November, then I'll get worried.

Management is keeping a close eye on Terry and crew. Kings have too much talent to **** it up.

Meh the Kings will simply Hire a coach like Murray (You so know that is going to happen). It's Dean Lombardi for crying out load. He is not going to hire a coach you like. (Creativity ) He is going to hire a guy that asks players to do the Same stuff you complain about Murray.
