We've been doing well in faceoffs tonight. Dominating, almost.

Gomez - 63%, Pleks 50%, Desharnais 54%, Engqvist 50%

Just a pathetic job all around from the players and the coaches....SUCK in the Leafs home opener is bad enough...but on your OWN home opener!!!! PATHETIC!!!

He has been bad... what's to like. He might be less bad than some of the others, but still bad. He continues to play on the periphery and take weak shots from bad angles. Still he isn't the worst player but why would you be satisfied with that just because others are worse.

I think Kostitsyn has been far better.

I've been more impressed by emelin than diaz, tbh. Diaz has made some pretty dumb turnovers, not that he's alone in that regard.

Fan in the ugly yellow sports jacket is going mad. Hoping he jumps on the ice to liven this thing up!

The coaches reflect this team. A bunch of lifeless bodies.

Western teams always seem to have an easy time against the Habs.

I like them both more than Subban and Gill tonight.

I find him slow, constantly loses the puck, slow to take decisions and doesn't win many battles.

I wouldn't be surprised if St-Denis, Henry, and Stejskal all played better than Subban at this point.

This team's not used to having the puck so often.

Wow, I had the option of purchasing tickets for this game and Saturday. Wife made me turn them down due to money issues.

Tonight is my 10th anniversary...so I guess that is my present from her. We didn't waste cash! lol

I think Kostitsyn has been far better.
First of all, he has won almost 65% of his faceoffs. Also, Gionta has been absolutely brutal and Patches hasn't been much better, so I'm liking how he is trying to carry the play on his shoulders and make something happen.

Last season he would never shoot or charge the net, and this game alone he has done it numerous times. I can guarantee if Gio was playing better, you would notice Gomez more. Our best players are Eller and Diaz tonight, but Gomez has been very solid offensively and defensively, especially when you condider the mediocre play of his linemates.
