Other than the 3rd goal, I really don't think Emery was that bad. Good for him getting his first win, and good for the boys picking up 2 points. It wasn't pretty, and it shouldn't have been that close, but what can you do.

I would like to officially protest this post-GDT thing. Seems entirely unnecessary and interrupts any conversations that may have been going on in the GDT.

If you didn't watch the game and just looked at some posts in the GDT, you'd think he let in 7 goals on 12 shots or something.

Good effort by the Jets, but the Hawks talent was too much. I really liked what we saw from Carcillo in his debut. The 2nd and 3rd lines have it going and it's time for the 1st line to catch up.

I watched the game, he was OK. Not great or even good, but better than a Raycroft or a McBackup. Certainly better than a Huet or a Turco.

Weak play from Toews tonight. Hopefully there's nothing going on with him healthwise. Seabrook played like a wimp but was solid defensively. I thought Keith and Leddy looked great and our 3rd line is going to be big for us this year. And as far as Emery goes...lol.

Good game today by the third line, and even thought Carcillo (minus the dive) was decent today. It's early, but Toews needs to improve, IMO. He just hasn't impressed me a lot yet.

Good game from the hawks though I feel like Toews had a poor game.

Emery was shaky but had a solid third and was good enough to get the win.

I've been really liking what I've seen from Leddy, not just this game but all season and preseason. He is gonna go a long way towards making us forget about campbell.

Kane and Bolland lines were phenomenal, each was generating chances every time they hit the ice. We may see kane stay at C for a while now.

Hawks continue to do well at the dot and on the PK, two things that needed to be improved from last year.

PP still needs work but Brunette is adding a dimension to it we didn't have last year.

What the hell? Our back-up goalie, get's the win, plays pretty solid, yet he sucks?

27/30 and 2 of the goals aren;t even really his fault. The defense was no where to be found in the first 10 or so mins. Once the team woke up, Emery allowed 1 goal, which was entirely his fault.

If the back-up wins, has a .900sv%, I would say that's a solid night. But you're right, if Crawford was in net, it's 4-2 instead of 4-3...wippty do.

We can have a post-GDT or whatever, but wait until the next day to close the GDT. If we're talking in the GDT, it's incredibly annoying to have to move.

Emery was absolutely horrible in the 1st period, but he was good enough for us to win. That's all you can ask.

If you leave GDT open your end up with 2 post game threads with people discussing game

2nd and 3rd lines looked very good, thought Emery was just fine, Toews was worst player on the ice tonight.

2 tips went 5 hole. He was late closing it. Thats what happens when you're OLD. Reflexes get a microsecond SLOOOOOOW. Cant fault him on the last one. Puck went across the net and he was stuck when he committed to protect the far side.

Ill take the 2 points. No excuse to lose this one.

The one thing that really irritates me about Emery is his post-to-post movement. It's really bad.
