Your former AHL Goalie Tyler Weiman signed with Augsburger Panther.

I live in Augsburg and want to know more about him . What to expect? what kind of Goalie is he? Will he make it in the DEL? please tell me more
I think that he'll do well, I didn't watch much of LEM two years ago, but I believe that DEL is the level at wich he could do very well, he isn't a bad goalie, he just isn't NHL material.

It would be more helpful IMHO if you ask on the AHL boards, I do it when I want info about players signing with my hometown team, and there's always been someone with good enough insight to answer mine questions there.

I don't know if anyone's seen this, but it's the Training Camp roster for the Lake Erie Monsters.

Some notables here, they list Joey Hishon on the camp roster, but I believe he's still rehabbing his concussion injury as said here, and HUGH JESSIMAN is on the roster!

That's right, Hugh "The Speciman" Jessiman is on the training camp roster! Life is complete!

Bryan Hogan is on that list. We seem to like UM goalies a little, eh? Can we expect Shawn Hunwick to be on our roster next year?

I see that James Reid (He's a WHL grad who had played with the Spokane Chiefs in previous seasons and has been signed by the Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League for this one) was the backup goalie last evening. I was wondering if he has signed a contract or just a PTO.

He hasnt been signed by the Avs. Pickard is the only goalie outside the NHL & AHL we have under contract

Whatever happend to Jonas HolÝs

Anyone one know if HolÝs is injured or something? It doesn't look like he's been playing any games for LEM yet this season.

He was healthy when he was sent down to LE. Maybe they are letting players like Brennan and Langdon show what they got early.

Well...0-2 so far in two games against Abbotsford. Obviously not time to panic but anyone have thoughts as to the LEMs level of play in those games?

I'm going to assume the team is gonna need some time to incorporate all the new additions and those new additions need some time to adjust to the speed of the pro game.

IMO They definitely need chemistry, but I read that LE is facing the injury bug. Better now than later on in the season.

Matching our goal totals so far, Mauldin with the tally, Gaunce and Elliott with the assists. Cann with .950 SV%

The story on the LEM website said Elliot shot the puck and it hit Mauldin and went in. So Mauldin with a KociGoal.

According to the Norwegian national broadcaster, NRK, Jonas HolÝs and the Avs have decided to part ways. He is already in Norway and will try to find a new team in Sweden or Russia with Switzerland as a third option.

Sorry to see him go, but it is not surprising given the off-season moves and the graduation of Elliott and Barrie to the AHL. HolÝs should fare well in Europe with the larger ice surface, that suits his style of play better.

OK

Good Luck, HolÝs.

Probably should have traded him, if at all possible.

Good luck to Jonas. Thought he looked really good his first callup, but seemed to lose confidence when they sent him back down. I think he's a much better hockey player than he was given a chance to show, hopefully he gets another shot in the NHL...preferably with a team in the East just in case he decides to turn out.

Yeah, not surprised, but I'm not sad about it either. It's better for HolÝs and our national team and it's no big loss for the Avs at all considering he played himself so far down the depth chart.

I'm just sad we never got to give him the nickname "Trollhunter."

Expected with him not having the greatest camp and dropping in the depth chart. I think European hockey might fit him better.

Good luck, Jonas.
I thought he could have been able to play somewhere in the NHL.
Simply wasn't a very good fit with our team anymore as we wanted to add some physicality to our blue line.

Find a nice club in Russia, Sweden and earn some good money.
Maybe we'll see ya back in North America one day.
