Yeah, not surprised, but I'm not sad about it either. It's better for Holøs and our national team and it's no big loss for the Avs at all considering he played himself so far down the depth chart.
Well he was awful in the playoffs last year. But he "suddenly" found his game at the world championships. A true professional plays his best when his team that employs him needs him. That sealed his fate. Good riddance.
Anyone know if the LE vs Toronto game tomorrow is televised anywhere? I'm guessing maybe Leafs tv which I don't get (CAN'T get in Ottawa area). I wish instead of showing OHL, that the super sports pak gave me AHL games.
Ryan Stoa should consider becoming a pitcher because he threw his third no-hitter last night. When the Monsters scored their only goal, he was near the net and he took two stick shots from Finley of Rochester, yet he did nothing to retaliate, just skate away. He goes into the corners and turns away from initiating contact, yet he gets run at, but does nothing to fight back. He is getting jeered by the crowd now. His softness is very obvious, and the opponents are going after him.

Everybody's interested in Elliott and Barrie, but I'm wondering how Chouinard and Gaunce are doing? I expected Gaunce to be close to making the team this year, but he sure didn't impress at camp.

Gaunce was directly responsible for the first Rochester goal Friday due to a bad giveaway. But he is getting ice time and seems to be progressing overall. Not quite there yet.
Wow looks like the Monsters are really struggling out of the gate. I imagine they'll look a lot better when Hishon, Olver, Desjardins, and Yip become available but who knows when that will be.
Dear God, injuries or not the Monsters have managed to win only two of their first nine games and have now been shut out in three games already. The Avs might be headed for trouble, but it's an outright disaster in Cleveland. No help's coming from the farm club, that's for sure.
