if you had to trade an enormous package (Cliff, Voinov, Bernier + 1st) would it be for Iginla or PArise

What's the contarct of Iggy?

Likely would depend on if we wanted to keep the player past this season, what the salary would be, etc. If it's just for this season, I'd go with Iggy. Iggy in the playoffs would be money in my opinion, he wants a cup now and isn't getting any younger.

neither of them under the circumstances. if Parise had 1-3 years left on a contract and not entering UFA this summer. Iginla back a few years ago. i wouldn't trade aways that much for a 34-35 yr forward at this point. if he was around and 30 and again had 1-3years left on a contract, then it would be worth discussing.

giving up clifford, VV, bernier & 1st for either of them at this point would be a steal. for CAL or NJ....that was the type of trade the Kings used to make under past regimes. and the reason they have never won anything. they always gave away the future for a big name

I proposed this trade in the Edmonton forum and they said "NO!!!".

I am curious to see what the LA fans think.

Jack Johnson for Eberle.

I have said before, to win the Cup THIS YEAR the Kings trade:

Jack Johnson for Zach Parise

keeping in mind that the Kings cannot afford to resign Parise after this year.

If I'm Edmonton and NJ I pass too.

Edmonton is in no hurry to trade away a young player, even if they are getting one back. Edmonton's D is the craps pretty much, but not enough so that they need to deal a guy like Eberle to fix it. They'll see which of their kids pan out first before shipping any out.

Besides, they have money coming off the books after this season so they can add D through UFA if needed.

As for NJ, they'll hold onto Parise until they are either out of the playoffs or until they've exhausted all efforts to resign him. If they are moving him as a rental, then I'd be upset if it cost us a guy like Johnson to get him. More likely something along the lines of a 1st, Hickey/Voynov, Richardson/Lewis and an additional pick (2nd or 3rd) for Parise.

Fair enough. Good answer.
