MOEN GOT A GOAL! HE'S NOW AN OFFENSIVE DYNAMO WHO WILL SEE THE NEXT 20 GAMES IN A TOP 6 ROLE! HOORAY FOR US!
Moen playing with Gomer & Gio on the Third line, makes him bottom 6 not top 6, I know you do not like JM but come on.

I was thinking along those lines but with a twist:

AK - PK - Eller
Gio - Gomer - Cole
MaxPac - DD - Palushaj
Moen - Eggy - Darche

He has the hands and scoring touch to finish and the size. I think he'd be good at it. Worth a shot anyway.

We need more dman...I just hope we get more short players and get some size and grit. Komisarek and Markov were a great pairing...that is what we need.

That was the reason the Bruins won? Gomez and Gionta depended on Desharnais? If you were talking about missing Pacioretty, I'd pay attention.

Where did I say it makes him a top 6? Please point out where because I didn't. The point is Gomer-Gionta don't play that well with Moen as their winger. I thought that much was pretty obvious from my first post.

@Beerhell can't edit, I see what you mean but you have to understand for that last line I was just joking about how whenever Moen does play well he does get put in a top 6 role. I do see he'd be technically on the 3rd line if they did it that way but commenting on the fact that Moen-Gomer-Gio isn't the best line. I know at the same time I made the joke about Moen didn't mean it like that though

When Cammalleri and White come back...many options:

Pacioretty/Cammalleri - Plekanec - Cole
Moen - Gomez - Gionta
Desharnais - Eller - A.Kosts
Darche-Engqvist-Blunden/Palushaj/White

OR

Cammalleri - Plekanec- Cole
Pacioretty - Desharnais - White
A.Kosts - Eller - Darche
Moen - Gomez - Gionta

Gomer and Moen have a synergistic effect together. 1+1=3. Martin knows it full well...

Your second line center is.....

I say this a bit tongue in cheek but David Desharnais is picking up more ice time and more points than Scott Gomez. That is not an indictment of Gomez because he has been playing better than last year. And the team has only played 4 games so a lot will change during the season.

Still, Desharnais is getting a good chunk of ice time, including PP time, and his line looked pretty good against Colorado.

Without taking anything away from his success up to this point, I think the people who think Desharnais is at a disadvantage playing center will be proven right in the long run. I think Eller should be playing center and Desharnais wing.

And those calling for DD to be waived proven to be dumb.

He's absolutely garbage at faceoffs. He needs to be a winger for that reason alone. We can't have a guy sporting a 30 something faceoff percentage and be a puck possession team at the same time. We should trade for Saku.

He seems to be the type of player who is best when they are on a constant move, he's good at crashing the net but his decision making doesn't seem as strong when he's parked there trying to fight for a garbage goal. Some players thrive in that role, like Moulson or Holstrom, I actually trust Darche more in that role than Cole.

Eller - Plekanec - Cammalleri
Pacioretty - Desharnais - Kostitsyn
Cole - Gomez - Gionta
Moen - White - Darche

Please, Jacques, just try those lines ONCE for more than a few games. I'm sure it will work. Only negative is having Eller on the wing instead of center but with these combos we have three great offensive lines and a solid checking line.

The forward lines looked good last night. Though I'm not crazy about Eller on the wing, I wonder if JM would consider this once Cammy is back:

Eller Plek Cole
Cammy Gomez Gio
Max Desh AK
Moen Engqvist Darche

Let the opposition pick their poison.

No brainer IMO. Patches assisted DD's Goal. DD assisted Patches's'ss's(lol) goal. Gionta fed Moen for his goal, and eller and pleks. Di you guys see the littl dipsy doodle circle they did. Pretty slick. I think Eller is like another plekanec, with a little less defensive capabilities and when he develops will have a little bit better offensive capabilities. I was really impressed with our offense last night and with out cammalleri in the lineup that's saying something. Our defense was bad though, and though this will only be said like 2 or 3 times in the run of a season, I think carey was a little off his game.

Cole - Plekanec - Gionta
Pacioretty - Desharnais - Kostitsyn

I want to see this top 6 until Cammalleri gets back.
