oh ye and Moreau brought energy tonight, screened on Williams first goal, was noticeable around the ice. Lewis looked good on Stolls wing aswell. I noticed we were rolling just 3 lines in the 3rd with Westgarth and Penner not getting any ice time and Lewis looked pretty nice on Stolls wing. He didnt look so good skating into Greene on the Flyers game tieing goal

Clifford-Lewis-Hunter

Mitchell-Voynov
Scuderi-Johnson
Martinez-Greene
Penner is going to get sat. You may be right though and they may drop him but someone needs to movivate him.

Problem is that Richardson is not as skilled as some think and he will work hard in every zone but he is going to pot any

Then we wouldn't be Kings fans!

Penner needs to be put with Kopitar and Williams, they could play with a potato on their LW and create chances. Put him back in a zone of familiarity where he's produced before.

Richards and Brown need some sort of spark. Enter Simon Gagne. Because outside of isolated bursts, the second line has looked outstandingly mediocre.

Ethan Moreau had a simple, effective game tonight, glad to see him fitting in.

So glad to have Richards on LA.

Penner should play with Kopi, give Gagne back to Richards TM.

On a side note, Kopitar is having a monster of a season thus far, as expected. The guy just breezes by defenders with relative ease.

Everytime Doughty goes down, JJ takes the D core on his back.

Penner was awful, he stepped for Doughty, but there were 2 times he noticed he could've thrown the body on the forecheck and passed it up to float.

Ethan Moreau is quickly becoming a favorite. Plays gritty, stands in front of the net and in there for all the scrums.

What a hit from Richards on Vorachek.

Great game by quick and Johnson. Kopi looked a little off tonight had some strange passes to nobody. Not a big deal though, I am wondering why A-Mart was scratched.

I agree this board is quickly turning into LGK. It started last season, and is carrying into this one. So boring and tiring reading the same crap about Terry Murray (of which nothing will be done this season). Among other whines ETC, people need to get new material.

F YEAH! Just finished watching the game. We hung in there. Johnson was awesome, Willy was a beast and Penner was benched!

Glad to hear Doughty doesn't have a concussion. Shoulder?

Not playing Penner is still a pretty stupid move. He is still a top 6 forward, and for a team that is generally struggling to score goals, im not sure we can afford to bench him. At the moment we are a 1 line + Richards + Johnson team for scoring goals

It's amazing how Jack's switch flips on when Drew goes down. He just takes over the back. If he could keep that switch on when Drew is in the lineup, we'd have two very dangerous players that can carry the play into the zone.

Glad Drew's injury isn't a head, I can live with a week or so. Welcome back, Voynov.
I think it will stick with Jack this time. He's at the age where defensemen makes their jump.

Jack has been pretty solid all season. I have no complaints so far. Everyone make mistakes and bad reads from time to time, but he has been better already.

Even Mitchell had a bad pinch against NJ and it cost the Kings a goal.

Jack and Doughty for the next seven years should be magical.

Kings PP has actually carried the offense so far. Where is the Kompon praise?
I'm not concerned yet.

In addition to being on a ludicrously long road trip, the Kings competition has been excellent. The Rangers, Devils, Flyers and Sabres all look like they could be top teams in the East.

I expect the even strength scoring woes to continue, but not be as bad as last season. Call up Loktionov!

Can't afford not to bench him, don't want to send the message that long shifts and dogging it are tolerated.

Who cares if Penner drops weight, I called it months back, the dude is just so damn inconsistent and coaches like TM will not stand for it. One game he is physical and the next game he is floating and invisible.

Pretty sure that's what Philly was saying, going into the Vancouver game, god, Brylagov can't be this good 80 more games, 3 goals in 2 games are brutal....

Careful, that sounds like a complaint against Murray.

I'll try and tone it down now about Murray. I will wait until it is a story in the media. I think everyone knows my position on that now.

Kopitar with 2 assists and I thought he had a down game out there. Shows how good he really is, the game just seems to follow him.
