Great game. Great pace. Bravo!

Thomas let in 2 softies...but came up huge a half dozen or more times to redeem himself. Including that, he also went "4 for 4" in the shootout tonight.

Anyone else think Pouliot's penalty was gonna lose the game? How fitting, his awful skating causes a high stick, Chicago scored the winner with a minute left. Thankfully I was wrong.

Despite the goal, Horton and Lucic look disinterested to me. Specifically Lucic...he had 1 nice pass in OT but otherwise I thought he was extremely sluggish again.

Noticed Bartkowski make one hesitation move in the 2nd period I believe...never saw him again.

Marchand thinks he is Blake "what is the blue line?" Wheeler apparently.

Seguin has arrived.

No kidding. I don't have a 2nd NHL team, but i never find myself cheering against the Hawks (except when they play the Bruins).

Love watching Seguin come into his game. He is going to be an outstanding player and that day is going to come sooner rather than later.

I also really think Seguin plays more comfortably and much better at center than at wing. When Krejci returns I really hope they shift Seguin to center the third line rather than continue to have him playing at wing.

I also think he should have been a star tonight.

Oh and while I am not a fan of Kane the player off the ice, I can appreciate what kind of player he is. When he has the puck in his possession it is darn hard to get the thing away from him.

It's the refs' fault! The Bruins are so MEAN!

Is that better?

Quite promising the way they played in the third and onwards.
Hawks have a good team with loads of talent, a good team to walk out of their stadium with 2 pts.
Seguin looks so much better than he did last year, can't wait to see what he will do this year.
And yeah, Thomas rules! Shutting down those three guys in shootout is no small feat.

When Krejci gets back is it even possible to demote Seguin down now?

Seguin has been strong and has been the most consistent forward so far this year.

I was concerned but I don't blame Pouliot for it. Once again he was one of the only guys actually battling hard. His ability to skate is suspect at best but he was going hard for that puck and for that I'm not going to **** on him. Pretty unlucky penalty actually and that guy sort of hammed it a bit as the stick the grazed the back of his helmet..

As for Lucic and Horton.. they just lose the puck way too easily this season for some reason. I still think they'll both turn it around, I mean.. they have to.

The only glaring mistake from Seguin that I saw was just ignoring that drop pass from Lucic on that rush that Brick pointed out. Not 100% sure if it was his fault or Boychuk's though since for all we know, that rush could have been a set play. Still, bummed me out

Great road win. Also, I never consider a breakaway to be a 'soft' goal. Certainly looked like Bickel was going to his backhand just before he let the shot go, Pretty crafty. But then again, everyone on this board considers every 5-hole goal to be soft so what can-ya-do. haha

Yeah, they're great fans who like us, waited a long time for their cup, and deserved it. Also like us, they had a few decades of pain they had to unfairly endure.

And, it's hard for me to understand how anyone could really admire a team like Vancouver.

I'm guessing Seguin takes Peverley's spot on on Bergeron's wing.

That or Seguin centers Pouliot and Peverley. But I'll puke a little bit if he goes right back on Kelly's wing.

When Krejci comes back Seguin will be moved down the depth chart. I think he needs to keep playing center, but Krejci isn't going to lose his #1 center job yet.

Hawks fan here saying congrats on the win. The Bs controlled the 3rd, OT, and the shootout. Hope you guys have a great year...and understand the slower start you guys are having is just the Cup hangover. Good luck!

It's a really easy condemnation to make, I guess. Bickel did a good job of getting Thomas to start to move, at which point going dead center along the ice is a pretty good choice. "His stick should be there!" aside, it's one of the higher percentage means of putting the puck in the net.
