- Kopitar's line was excellent again. No use moving Gagne back down while that line is producing so well.
- Quick was fantastic again, he actually almost stopped Carle's goal. His lateral movement is as good as any goalie in the NHL. As someone else mentioned, amazing how DT and Murray could nver draft a goalie and finally got a franchise one on their last try.
- No problem with what Penner did. Can't let slugs like Rinaldo get away with that kind of thing. Other than that he was pretty invisible.
- Moreau had an effective game. Threw some nice hits and made the simple play. He was technically on the "3rd" line and that is a lot to ask. But at this point the Kings have two fourth lines so it doesn't matter.
- The Kings at one point had Moreau, Lewis, Stoll and Mitchell on the ice for a PP. Obviously with Penner and Doughty being hurt they had to change it up, but wow maybe the worst PP unit I've ever seen.
- Greene is just terrible. I don't care if he is a "culture changer" or whatever cliche they want to use. He sucks. He just gets exposed any time he has to play against a guy who is even an above average skater. Giroux made him look like a pylon. Greene should have been born 15 years earlier because he would have been a solid pre-lockout defenseman, but he is a liability with the way the game is called now.
- Stoll continues to be the worst player on the ice, can anyone point out one positive he has done so far this season? And can we please end this experiment on the PP, even the second unit. Has anyone ever seen Stoll actually do anything other than one-time the puck when he gets it at the point. It gets old. Handle a pass ad maybe look to move it around instead of ripping it off the glass.
- Kyle Clifford, sorry Utah he has to do more than just challenge Rinaldo to a fight, I think a lot of us expected more from him this year. He has had very little energy this season, hasn't made any game changing hits, no offensive chances. He deserved to be benched and maybe should sit for a game to send a message, we need him badly this year.
- Jack was the best player on the ice, man was he flying out there. Just dominant in all three zones of the ice. With the way teams clog the neutral zone these days it is so valuable to have a guy who can take it from the defensive to offensive zone by himself, we have two of those guys. Jack is playing so confident, I have seen this swagger before for UM and Team USA at various different tournaments, not so much with the Kings until now. I hope he keeps it up and is given big ice time and big PP time.
- Someone here used to call Ryan Smyth a pros pro, well Mike Richards is a true pros pro. The guy is just so good all over the ice. Loved seeing him mouth off to Pronger then destroy Voracek and then ofcourse setting up the GW goal. He also is such a threat to create offense SH. Just a wonderful addition to our team.
I don't know if there were people that "never liked him." But he went from Bobby Clarke to Eric Lindros in less than a year and a half.
A lot of that was the media, and being made the captain too early (it's the Clarke thing). He's in a better place I think right now with media who won't track his every move. If we had more guys like Rich Hammond here, it would have never been a problem.

Quick will break into elite status this season. And by that I mean he will be recognized as such, as he might be there already.
Just finished watching the game. NHL ****ed us over big time so there is no live options anymore. But I found a solution to that but it forces me to watch games many hours after they are finished. Interested? PM me.
Well alpa, you'll need to move to Slovenia.
Not a single blackout on GameCenter here till now (Kings game or any other match, that I was at least partialy able to see), with Kings feed there is also no anoying music because everything, what is happening in intermision, I'm able to see...
I would also like to mention something Elijah kept saying at the gamewatch. Jagr was invisible. Our D shut him down.
I'm sure the booze were flowing quite nicely at that gamewatch. Jagr was incredible, that assist on the 1st goal was beautiful and he created many chances for Philly with his puck control and shots on goal. That guy is amazing. We did contain him a bit, but he could have had a couple more points if Quick wasn't so incredible last night.
BTW why are they booing a player who did not ask for a trade, he was thrown out of them team he would bleed for and this is how they thank him? I'm more than happy for him and us having him.
Yeah, surprised it took this long for this to be mentioned. I think the only person more surprised than me that Richards was traded was Richards himself.
Just glad to get the 2 pts. Philly really pressed the play in the 2nd & 3rd.
At one point during (I think) the 2nd period, the Kings had somehting like 15 blocked shots and the Flyers had only 6 or 7. Well, The Flyers were getting many more opportunities to shoot, so of course the Kings would have more blocks.
2-1-1 against 4 of the top eastern teams (& goalies)? I'd take that every single stinkin' day.

I can only hope, it will stay that way.
Totally off topic but ....ohhh Slovenija I miss it.
Usually I've been in Bled every year playing golf in the autumn but this year we went to Portugal and it was nice but it isn't the same thing. In Bled we knew all people at the Golf course and at the hotels were we usually stayed so that made it so much more fun and then you have Zlatorog Club... I really miss it all .
