Leave it to us to get a 1st line center just in time for one of the strongest drafts of the past few years.

Are you suggesting that if we didn't get Richards we would somehow be a lock for a top 10 pick next year?

STILL can't believe that the Avs made that stupid Varlamov trade. I actually don't think they'll finish in the lottery again this year, but regardless - to give up a pick in this year's draft for a guy who was going to Russia and, as far as I can tell, for whom there was no competition...

Do we have any guys we aren't even planning on having on the team this year that can fetch a 1st and a 2nd in the upcoming draft?

Pashinin to Florida for their 1st and 2nd seems reasonable.

Yeah, we really need to root for the Avs this year. Would not be ideal if the Caps pulled a top 5 pick out of their arses.

No, it was sarcasm.

But it would've been easier to trade up to 10 from 15 then it is from 30 ,

I'd be willing to forfeit the selection right now if we earned the 30th pick. lol

Listed as C ... do you see him moving to wing?

Can we please sticky this? I for one am very intrigued by prospects and they are very fun and interesting to talk about when the Rangers aren't playing, etc... I like talking about the guys who will be in the draft and getting perspectives on them. Thanks for bumping it BB (I refuse to call you Zenith), can we please sticky this mods?

You can still call me BB, I just like the word Zenith.

And, yeah, it'd be nice to get a sticky.

Seriously though, even though our team is kind of tank proof due to our goaltender, if there was ever a year to do it this would be it. Nail would be well worth the embarrassment of a poor season. Best prospect since Crosby according to some. Not advocating anything just saying - this kid isnt going to just be good, he's going to tear the league up when he gets here

I'd want him, at least if we finish over 10. If we finish Top 10 or Top 5, I'd push for better. Top 5 and I go for one of Murray, Ebert, Yakupov, Grigorenko, Galchenyuk or Reinhart, depending on who's picked and what pick we have.

Murray would also be a tremendous help to our team

Highly doubt we are finishing top 5 or top 10. If we struggle, top 10 is possible, but top 5, no. If we did for some reason go top 5, assuming Yak goes #1, I'd be all over Galchenyuk. The kid is practically American and has a good attitude. Don't have to worry about the Russian ******** that most of those kids pull. I'd love to get Galchenyuk in blue.

Assuming we finish Top 5, I'd go for one of the players I mentioned. I don't see us finishing so poorly, but if we do, I'd be all over one of the Russians or one of the defenseman I mentioned. Reinhart is like a young Weber so I would love him. Murray and Ebert would be great for the defense.

That he does. I don't want a defenseman in the first round. I want a forward. If we finish middle of the pack like last year, I want Frk. If for some reason we finished top 5, I want Galchenyuk.

If we have 4 or 5, I doubt we get Galchenyuk. Unless Ebert and Murray play at a top level or someone like Koekkoek does very well, I doubt Galchenyuk falls. Though he is injured and if his statistics are down, he might drop a spot or two.

Have I mentioned that I hate the Colorado Avalanche. Those *******s gave the Capitals their 1st round pick for Varlamov. The Caps love Soviets... I swear if the Avs come in last and the Caps get 1st overall and take Yakupov, I'm going to go to Colorado and shoot Greg Sherman
