What gives you the right to post that? It sure as hell doesn't stop you Leafs fans from making 95% of your proposals.

This^

Burke holds his cards close to the chest. If people are talking about it, most likely he is not doing that.

No thanks. Good player, but we're not looking for a second-line winger in his 30's at this time.

Pretty sure the Stars could get more value for Morrow from another team. Not saying the Leafs don't have pieces they could send, but I don't think Burke would want to give up what the Stars would want.

Teams just don't seem like good trading partners.

Morrow automatically becomes your top LW and the best LW your team has had in what, 5 years or more?

Can he play RW? B's got Lucic & Marchand at LW, RW is where we could use some talent. However great Morrow is, I think between Lucic & Horton we've got the power forward aspect covered. Boston doesn't really have a need for Morrow unless Lucic or Marchand are shipped out, & I just dont see that happening. Unless Boston packages Marchand ++ for Ryan Suter

Imo Leafs should hang on to what they've got.. Wait out Colborne, Kadri, Gardiner etc.. Try to strike on july 1st w/ a UFA. You guys have a good hard working team, just be patient, wait out some of these kids, try to add in the offseason. Leafs will be a playoff team very soon.

If anyone ever wondered why the vast majority of Leaf fans were cheering for Boston over Vancouver in the SCF, the above two posts will steer you in the right direction.

Doesn't this fall somewhere between publicly admitting he was going for Tavares, when all he was offering were scrubs and AHLers?
And there goes the credibility

So you're suggesting that because he would fit on our top line that we should pay the trade price for a legitimate first line left wing?

This would be a complicated trade to complete, due to the Stars' cap situation. I would think Joffrey Lupul would HAVE to be included in this deal, since his contract is virtually the same as Morrow's.

I was shocked the Stars dealt Neal last season, so I suppose anything's possible, but I would be quite surprised again if they moved Morrow.

Stars are trying to make the payoffs and they need Morrow to do that. The Leafs? Haha. Maybe Dallas should be poaching key veterans from them. Grabovski to Dallas for a pick and prospect?

Yeah Lupul would probably have to be in the trade.
If the stars aren't near the playoffs by the trade deadline I'm thinking something like

Lupul
Good prospect
2nd - 3rd

for

Morrow
Bad prospect

2 contracts per side, pick depends on how well Lupul/Morrow are playing, if both teams are out of the playoff picture no point in trading.

That'll probably cost you at least Rundblad + 1st.

I saw the clip of Kyper and MacLean talking about this.

Looked like complete utter speculation to be honest.

IMO, nothing to see here. Sure, there's interest but what team wouldn't be this early in the season?

I wouldn't wanna trade Morrow. I think he will retire a Stars, and with a strong start to the season and a new owner coming in about 6 weeks, we could be one of the top teams in the West again in a couple of years and try and get that cup for Morrow.

He deserves a cup.

This. Seriously, I don't think there were rumours of any of Burkes trades except for some rumblings for Liles during last season.
