this was the 9th bruin game this year, looks like the kid is sticking with the big boys right? sure deserves too
there's absolutely no question that he's staying in boston.
as of today, him and marc-andre fleury are neck-and-neck for the calder trophy, and he'd win the 7th player award hands down (although raycroft might be throwing his hat in the ring for that now too)
It is kinda funny though how this 10 game thing hasn't even been talked about...not even a wisper outside of this forum so far.
I can't see why they would move this kid anywhere!
With the depth of the roster would it be smart down the road to give him and Zinovjev a day/game off at some point?...or would that maybe hurt more than help?
b) Trade Zaumner...i like him alot but if we traded him along with Moran, we could get a good Top 5 D...Many have said Gauthier
Don't see Zamuner, a free-agent third liner, and Moran, a useful but limited 6/7 defenseman, netting us Gauthier. At the least, Hilbert would have to go the Flames way (with the emergence of Bergeron and Zinovjev, is Andy now expendable??), possibly more.
we need another Dman- absolutely, no question about it. as good as we appear to be up front, we are definitely short on the backline. if OC can net us a good 2 way guy that can skate the puck, this team is in very good shape. i still think there's room for berard, but if OC can get us a guy that's more dependable in his own end (and is a good skater), i'd be stoked
Bergeron simply thinks that he is blessed by good fortune to be in Boston and enjoys every minute of it: he loves the game and would play it on a pond if he had to.Now his attitude translates his belief. He will never decline any assignment or role given to him by Sullivan,IMO. That he plays 4th line, 3rd line, winger, centerman, it does not really matter.
He is also very down to earth with everything that happens to him and I hope that he remains that way.
But he is blessed with a wonderful mind for hockey and I hope also that the Bruins use him well because he deserves every little bit of what he gets at the moment. He is only starting to amaze the fans.
I'm not so sure on Gauthier...He's one of those guys that sound really good, but after seeing him for a year and a month on Center Ice he's overrated in my opinion. I'd still easily do it for the Zams-Moran proposal, but not much more to be honest...

Gauthier is not perfect. Admittedly. Perhaps even overrated. But if you're saying you wouldn't trade Hilbert for Gauthier, you'd be out of your mind. Gauthier is at least a #4-5 defenseman now, while Hilbert is tilling and sowing on the farm.

Absolutely. Gauthier is no all star, but he is mean and hits like a truck. I think he would thrive in Boston and those big hits would make him immensely popular.
And I have certainly watched enough to know he is bettter than Moran and better defensively than Berard.
