Those are painted on, right? I was always wondering what they would do if someone got traded.

No they aren't painted on and they used to be good at replacing them in a timely matter.

Well you'd better get 'em now before word gets out
I doubt this'll be a sellout or anything like that, but it's got some things going for it - Friday night, possibly the last Brodeur-Luongo matchup, and Doc night so it might be close.

But knowing stuff and how things are run, I find it very funny that they would do something like this.
The Doc Emrick Lounge.

Maybe. That would be pretty cool, but I have no idea what they'd put up there.

I'm pretty sure several teams in various sports have announcers in their retired number section and have a microphone or something for the number.

Totally great to see this happen for Doc. Players came and went, but Doc was always a constant. I miss him so much, I grew up listening to this guy.

Glad we'll be able to salute/thank him for all of his services and always great, upbeat attitude
Definately well deserved
I still hope he's the host of Niedermayer night

Haha nice, wasn't me though. Now I'm tempted.
And is it me, or did we already do a Doc Emrick night?
Still, it's cool and all, just kinda odd and moreso closes that door even further.

I thought the same thing, but looked it up and that was in '09 and for the Foster Hewitt Award and his upcoming 3,000th game

You should post yours at $1,506.50
Seriously though, didn't you say you have to pay to put tickets on StubHub? What's the point of doing something that high?

You only have to pay if you want to do it instant download, and you pay Ticketmaster to be able to access the PDF for printing/emailing

As for the date, there is not NBC game that weekend. His next game after that is Devils at the Rangers on that Monday.

Why not? I think it's more likely and would have been close even without Doc night.

We played Vancouver in February a couple years back and I don't think attendance was particuarly good for that, though that game was a Tuesday iirc. Having it Friday helps but it's not like Bobby Lou is a particuarly big draw here.
At least late February is around the time of year where you get some unpredictable sellouts (the Blues a few years back in March), and StubHub prices are already a little 'up' with $30 being the cheapest tickets.

There's a big difference between Vancouver a few years back and Vancouver now. Namely having twins who have won the Art Ross the last two years and winning the Western Conference championship last season.

Vancouver was a Stanley Cup Finalist, and plenty of our fans would love to see a matchup of the goalies. They'll be a draw.
