If they split this road trip theyll be 2-3-2 - 6 points
Not the end of the world considering they've traveled 16,000+ miles in 4 1/2 weeks.
Im just looking for them to get their game together, and getting into good habits, win or lose. If they come back with at least 4 points im happy. It would be a good start to take at least 1 out of there tonight.
I would so sign for that right now. Get us to MSG with that.
I'd been saying that some games could get rough until we have Staal back or the D adjusts to his absence...this might be one of those. I'd love exit to Van with a point.
I'm ready for a game where our grinders grind their hardest. I cannot wait to see, our grinding, blue collar work ethic, take down the Canucks elite talent.
Should be a good game.
All joking (and some seriousness) aside, they're going to have to come out of the gate in top form to even think of walking out with a win in Vancouver. This isn't going to be another 1-0 game.
If they have over 4 penalties this game they will get blown out. Their PP is deadly....
Oh, forget about. If the Rangers take their typical 7-8 penalties, they'll let up 6 or 7 goals throughout the game.
No doubt in my mind that if Vancouver had 8 power plays, that they would score on 3 of them.
You're absolutely right, anything more than just four penalties, will be far too much for this game. When you play with fired you get burned, and playing with the Canucks PP will be playing with fire.

If the Nucks had 8 pp im sure they would score at least 5 goals..heck Florida Panthers were 5 for 7 on the pp last night vs the Bolts. Stay out of the box please....
If the following players get their heads out of their ***** we will win:
Dubinsky
Boyle
Prust
Rupp
Fedotenko
All have been god awful thus far. I didn't mention players that have managed at least one good game (Stepan, Anisimov). Prust scored a goal ya ya ya, he's been ineffective otherwise.

I've thought Prust has looked pretty good thus far, everyone else on that list I can't argue, have looked terrible, Boyle especially.
By the way, anyone else dumbfounded how ridiculously well Higgins has seemed to fit in here? Not to mention Weise finding a spot on one of the best teams in the NHL and not being able to crack our 3rd or 4th line grinders...
I think Canucks fans are just as dumbfounded as Rangers fans. Higgins has been terrific since day one and has been one of our better players in this young season. Not sure why but I guess he's just found the right team at the right time.
Weise hasn't done much so far to be honest but he seems to have a surprisingly heavy shot and he's working hard. It's unclear whether he'll stick over the long run.
Those of you expecting a loss shouldn't. The Canucks, and especially Luongo, have had a well documented history of horrible Octobers and this October is no different. They have yet to play a decent game this season and it sounds like the Rangers are sharing their penchant for bad penalties as well.
I expect a close one tonight that could go either way. Looking forward to seeing that top line for the Rangers, Richards is one of my favorite non-Canucks.
Good luck and *%#$ you for '94... still not over it.
