The egg shell color (or the off white as it was called) is very nice.
If fits the mold of a lot of new jerseys with the two bars on the arm and the bar across the lower part of the shirt.
Would love to get one but might just wind up settling for a t-shirt version.

I only see them wearing it once. Some teams have adopted their WC jerseys as alternates but the Rangers already have the heritage as their alternate unless they go with a 2nd alternate or replace the heritage which I don't see.

I believe so. The Penguins and Blackhawks still use theirs I think.

Yeah, I hope they only wear it once. The heritage jerseys rock. Although maybe they could save the WC one for every once in a while.
Regarding the jerseys, I'm really glad that this seems to be what they're going with. An off white version of the heritage jerseys (while cool) woulda been a little redundant, and probably not sold as well. Plus the Rangers have not broken these out since the 40's. They've already done a rendition of the somewhat original jerseys back in the 91-92 season, already did the full crest jerseys from the 70's. Screw both the liberty jerseys (white and blue). This is literally a style NOT seen on a Rangers jersey in almost 70 years. LOVE it, and even though it is not official..very psyched to hear them announce this as the jersey.
Looking ahead, if and when they get the classic at Yankee Stadium in a few years, look for a WC jersey of either the original original jersey (white lettering) or a blue version of this current WC one.
I'm iffy on them so far... Don't love them, don't hate them. Wouldn't mind picking one up but I wouldn't know who to get. Maybe AA cause he's fast becoming one of my favorite players. I just got a heritage Gaborik last year and I need to replace my Saints jersey since the team got rid of both Shockey and Bush in one offseason. No consideration for me on that one. Not sure I'll be picking one of these up or not. Saints jersey is first on the list, then I can look into one of these.
Personally, I would've rather have seen that old crest on the front of the jersey instead of the number. Still, it's a once in a lifetime jersey and all of the authentic WC's have sold out every year.
