If the only negative in this game is Rinaldos decision to fight with 20 secs left in the first period.

Then the Flyers are having a damn good game.

Ill take it

I don't think I noticed Karlson once the whole period. I saw Rundblad make one pass to Chris Phillips.

They need to move one of their defensemen for some young forward help.

No I want you to read the posts by Beef Invictus and GKJ. It's not just in this thread. It's all over the board and I'm getting tired or reading it in EVERY DAMN TOPIC. Seriously Rinaldo could discover the cure for cancer and people would complain that he did it when he should have been discovering the cure for HIV. It's annoying.

wow, same Rinaldo hate from the same posters every single thread.....typical i guess.

You are really worried about momentum in a game that 4-0 with 20 seconds left in a period that the Sens had 3 shots on goal? Thats Hilarious. Its not like it was you know, a 2 goal game against a team that was actually playing the game with them.

Give it a rest folks, its getting really annoying, and senseless. You're just looking for things to ***** about Rinaldo for.

Edit: And if you think Konopka won the fight then watch again, it was very easily a draw against a MUCH smaller Rinaldo. That in itself is a loss. You fight a smaller guy and nearly get put on your ass.

Kari Lehtonen knocks the back of his head on the crossbar... Mike Milbury, watching the highlight, tells him to get over it.

How does this guy have a job in any part of the hockey business?

im not 100% sure because i didnt watch alot of LA games last season, but i dont think simmonds was used much on the powerplay in la. maybe this is what homer talked about when he kept saying "we think theres more there" with him.

I think we could play an ECHL team and they'd put up more of a fight than this.

I feel almost sorry for this Ottawa team (at least if they're going to continue playing like this for the rest of the season). That might have been the worst period I've ever seen a NHL team come up with.

Read might not have been that bad of a pick for the Calder after all. He's looking great out there. The fourth goal was the result of some great movement by him, Hartnell and Talbot.

I think they separated Coburn-Timonen in the preseason games Walker played as well, anyone know why we're doing this? Some preferred position for some of our d's?

If we continue having Timonen-Carle on the second pp, I'd like for them to switch positions so that Timonen would be the one set up to shoot. Speaking of pp, it's great to see us get two goals, but I don't know what the hell Ottawa are trying to do, but it's not gonna help them on the pk if they continue to play so disorganized.

Only thing I can think of that looks a bit concerning, is that Jagr looks a little sluggish out there.

Even fired up, the sens are not scary at all.

Ummm insert any player into that situation and people would complain. Honestly, I think some would be complaining if it was Shelly who did it, but since Rinaldo did it, its ok.

Yea, he has his haters (Im one, wont lie), but his fanboys are out in fullforce also...which we can see.

So we have more goals than they have shots, I approve.

Talbot will need to talk to Rinaldo about fighting when your team has 3+ goal lead.

Sorry, I like smart hockey. After the Flyers get a 4-0 lead the game should be as uneventful as possible.

Walker can't play the left side, I think. Something like that.

i prefer my hockey as eventful as possible, minus a complete defensive lapse by the flyers, of course

Craig Anderson starts the 2nd.

Sadly for Auld, the team and coaches won't be happy that you were called on to give the starter a break and only made it through one period.

I am still a bit nervous, if only for the fact the Flyers haven't won in Ottawa since 2007.
