First goal was bad but second one was perfect. Not sure how you expect a guy to stay in the zone with 10 shots in the first two periods.

We will need to play all 3 periods like the first one today if we are to have any hope to beat those Pens. Because Fleury is very inconsistent.

But, if there ever was a time to tank it is now.

Did we really vote Ryan Miller? It smells fake.

Gorges played a pretty bad game.

Subban is still invisible out there.

Pacioretty is all heart and is the best player since the beginning of the season.

Diaz is awesome and his confidence is way up. I can't wait 'til Gill's gone.

Emelin is the second best defenseman behind Diaz. Plays physical, passes well. Just needs some PP time, but that JM guy would rather put Plekanec or Kostitsyn at the point.

Cole's been a disappointment so far.

Price is playing scared. I don't know what's the matter with him. His rebound control is **** leakage.
Cole is like the Scarecrow from the Wizard of OZ, all over the place. I wonder what's up with him.

Habs were the better team tonight, by far.

I'm not panicking because if they continue to play this way we will win far more games than we lose.

2 big sequences cost us tonight... but for the vast majority of the game the Habs were better

1) Price gave a bad rebound, and then Gionta didn't pick up his man. 1-1 goal Leopold.

2) Gorges horrible icing.... AKost loses Vanek... 2-1 Sabres.

Also blaming Price for the loss when the team gave up two goals and only scored 1? B/S.

Price didn't lose this game, Miller stole the game for Buffalo. Credit where its due, Miller is a damn good goalie.

Better be 1-80-1 this season around and we will have our revenge next year. That doesn't mean we are to lose heartlessly, though.

The team as is just isn't good. Gomez is just hideous. He contributes nothing. Any hope of him getting any better is just a pipe dream. The powerplay is laughable.

Don't kid yourself Miller beat Montreal...

PK and Price both looked solid tonight...

AK DD Patches best line by far...should have been out there a lot more...

Gomez is crap...he is always shooting right at the goalie maybe he thinks the puck is gonna go through them...horrible shot...nothing behind it...

Eller...needs to make better shot selections...

Diaz looked solid

Somebody tell Cole to show up!

Great to see Gill throwing the body around!

WE REALLY MISS MULLER!!!

At some point the axe is going to fall if this continues and it will be with JM.

Kostitsyn hasnt developed under JM. Gomez's game continues to go further south, which is something i dont think any of us could think could get worse, and Cole is a man on an island. JM's life as a coach in Montreal depends on getting these guys going. Oddly enough he feels the Darches and Desharnais of the world are what going to keep him working.

Our inexistant P.P is all bout Carey's fault...

Not a brilliant game but not a bad one for Price. Put a sniper like Vanek alone in front of a goalie like he did 2night and he'll score 9/10.

It had nothing to do with us only scoring one goal right?

Pacioretty had his best game so far, Kostitsyn was awesome, Desharnais played great, Gomez was very solid, PK and Diaz had great games too. Pretty much the whole team was great.

Gorges was having a great game but he made that bone-headed icing and screwed us the game. Price seemed to suffer from getting no shots all game.

Good game nonetheless. Habs destroyed the Sabres. We know what they can do.
A little too optimistic. The team has no talent up front. How can you get that many shots and only score one goal? And it was a defenceman.

The best line was the Desharnais line, but the kid is too small. He makes nice plays but he gets outmuscled all the time too. Let Eller play with those two and watch out.

Can I cast a vote for the word "Tank" to be banned from HF boards. I am so sick of reading that word in every discussion about our games and our team. It is like finger nails on a chalkboard. It was a good effort with 41 shots against Superman in a Sabres jersey, it was a great effort and will bring you win on most nights, it will be better. Go Habs!

I really don't understand the people who are actually complaining about the team in this case. Sure, it's frustrating, and believe me when I say I'm just as depressed as any of you over the last couple of games.

The thing is, though, that we just dominated a playoff team. That was the best game we've played all year, and we ran into a hot goalie, and had no luck at all on our side. What we have to realize is that there is still 74 games in this season, and anything can happen. Teams run into slums like this where nothing goes their way, maybe we're just getting ours out of the way early. Cammalleri was a huge loss and we're seeing the effects of that. This isn't a question of effort, because everyone gave it tonight. We just need some more luck.

People are complaining about Price too, but don't forget all that Carey has done for us. Not to mention he kept us in it and re-energized it with that breakaway save late in the third.

The goals are bound to start pouring in soon, I just hope it begins on Thursday.

Good effort, loved the Pac-DD-AK line, Diaz/Emelin played a good game, price didnt make key saves but wasnt to blame, Gomez and Gionta played really bad (when cammy returns, i want him with pleky and eller centering the 3rd line and gomez on the 4th).

Btw, habs are still winless at home (preseason included)

good effort by most of the guys but i just cant watch gomez play anymore i know its only 5 games into the season but this guy clearly doesnt have what it takes to be top 6 player he could be a great 3rd line center but hes been given 1st line minutes
