Pretty sure that's the same year we started like 2-20 or something. I remember things went from really bad to very exciting after Dunham was traded and Vokey put the team on his back...and then we got Sully. Seems like someone...was it Legwand?...got injured and it really messed with the team dynamics. That was when "No Excuses" was born. By me. I let 'em have it on the boards after Absey said I couldn't be negative. Showed him. ;-) Next thing I knew it was on the dressing room wall.
It was Legwand. Now, if my sometimes ridiculously-photographic memory is correct, I believe it was a leg/ankle injury, and he was pinned or hit against the boards when it happened. That might have been Weber a couple years ago though.

I am trying to remember too. for some reason I thought it was his collarbone or shoulder.

He missed 18 games with a broken collarbone in 2003. Just before Legwand went down, Johannson missed 13 games with a strained groin (or bruised hip... something in that area)

That's right. I was thinking of Weber. So was Johannson the injury were he was drilled into the post? AKA this at the 8 second mark........
Actually, I think that is how the injury happened. I'll be honest, I just found an old thread from 2003 that detailed all of the injuries from the previous season My memory isn't nearly good enough to remember the amount of games each guy missed.
Okay, Sully was the next year. Ah, I remember--Poile DIDN'T trade any of our guys thinking that there was a remote possibility we might make the playoffs. Obviously my (then) favorite player was on the block, so I was paying attention to that aspect. ;-)
Nice, but do you come to support the Leafs on the rare occurance they are in town?
Ah - No. I actually grew up a "Broad-Street-Bullies" fan (Bobby Clarke was my favorite player and my sister babysat Rick McLeish's kids). I had both Flyers' 16 and 19 jerseys. Unfortunately, when Clarke became the GM of the Flyers, he basically ruined them as a team (and now with Pronger - I'll never cheer for them again).
Not new to the Preds...but new to actually posting. I've been lurking for over a year, due to internet/phone issues. I am a Nashville native but trapped in Arkansas for the time being. I come here for most of my Preds news and info. I'd like to get more involved, but since I am in a land of (truly) no hockey, I need all the help I can get!!! I've been a HUGE fan of the Preds since my first game (~2000), yet this has turned out to be the "best" source of info I can find for my favorite team.
