Harry Z needs to stay up. He's awesome.

And for that matter, we have even more talent @ the AHL level in the form of Akeson and Sestito...

The future is bright for this team, that's for sure.

Do people really expect Walker to have that many minor penalties every game ? He is a presence back there. He will take on anyone in the league and is the perfect number 6 for this team. If anyone takes a run at any flyer and he is on the ice they will pay for it. Much better then " lilly ".

Nice win. Looked out of synch for half the game but I will take it with a 7-2 score.

Simmonds continues to be the man. Also, man oh man, are the Sens awful. I really feel bad for their fans.

He needs to play a better game in his own end. Then i will be a fan of him. He can fight yeah. He's a physical presence in the back but all that doesn't mean jack **** if he can't play in his own zone. Those turnovers were brutal. He needs to simplify his game. I'm going to give him a pass just because he has seen limited action in the past year due to injury. Also because we won.

Yeah... no.

But I will say this. I think I would rather the Flyers waive Shelley, keep Harry Z and Rinaldo, and leave Walker in the press box. I was impressed with his willingness to drop the gloves tonight and hold his own, and I do worry about the susceptibility of some of our young stars to the Chris Neil's of the world.

Of course, my scenario would never have Walker playing... so I'm not sure what purpose he serves. Insurance in the parking lot after a game?

Tocchet in the postgame made a point of Walker and the importance of him sticking up for the young guys....he gave him kudos for playing that role. It's a valid point but if we hadn't played Ottawa a lot of his turnovers and penalties could of nullified his bodyguard role...

Was happy in locker room after the game. RT @Woj_Flyers: @BroadStBull Why was Bob so quick to get off the ice? Looked upset?

2 theories:

1) he was upset about the last goal.
2) he really had to poop.

Senators only opened the locker room to the press about 20 minutes ago. Bryan Murray was part of a closed door meeting. A long one.

I think Bob may have gotten slashed a few times at the end, causing him to get off the ice in a hurry and seek some treatment, maybe. That's what Jackson and Clement commented when Walker went after that dude at the end, saying he was whacking at Bob on that last goal and Walker let him know about it.

Seems like Bob is hyper competitive and not taking too well to being upstaged by Bryz right now..I know Reese made some comments during the preseason about Bob being a proud guy and wanting to prove himself....

Don't envy Lavy in trying to massage egos with playing time......tough spot for him but he's going to have to run a tighter ship with that as the season progresses...

Bryan Murray's ass should have been canned years ago.

I'll be shocked if the Sens don't have the most ping pong balls heading into the draft lottery.

That team is brutal.

It should have happened somewhere around Craig Hartsburg's firing.

Matt Carle is the only Flyer who had a positive Corsi. Couturier and Hartnell were both even.
