Excuse my ignorance, but what's a Corsi?

Only really caught the end of the first and the second, but I thought the Flyers looked pretty decent. I'm loving how well Claude has embraced his role as the go-to guy. A bit concerned about Briere, but I'm sure he'll snap out of it soon.

Couturier really looks like my one cousin. Congrats to him and Harry Z on their first goals.

Now we need Jagr to get something

When things go well like this it seems that no matter who comes up and plays - they do well. Hell - Walker had a nice couple of fights - Konopka was pissed and started hacking around at the end there and Walker beat his ass down which is great to see. Lilja has been very solid so far. Nodl has looked very good, solid on the pk and 4th line. Read looks really fast and really good. Z comes up and looks incredibly fast and finishes a nice one... Imagine when Schenn comes up - good heavens.

I think it is safe to feel really good about this team.

Carle has played much better in the D zone to start the year, and his passing like always has been great.

Pronger looks like his old self, he also actually looks like he is faster now, but maybe that is just me.. but damn if he stays healthy playing like this, the sky is the limit for this team.

Despite the high score, I do find myself worried about the 30 minutes off crap play in the middle of the game. They can't do that against better teams. It was a major problem in years past and it wasn't fun to see it tonight.

Damn small family....

Talbot actually looks like a cousin of mine and not one I'm particularly fond of....he has a similar smirk and smile that makes me want to slap silly...

It happens. I agree its concerning but no team plays all out 60 mins all 82 games. The difference between this season and last season is we have goalies who can hold the fort if we get into a funk mid game.

Both of Giroux's points came on the powerplay, where you are not awarded a +1 for a goal.

Well done, gents,

What do you mean by this? Is there some website or something that has the games recorded?

agreed, didnt like seeing them build a lead, then switch to "coast" mode and almost let OTT. start dictating the rest of the game..

def. brings back bad memories from last season.

ps noticed Brzy. on the bench wearing a Santa hat.. LOL that guy is such a character.

Last season we would have stunk up the 3rd period also. It is only five games. But this team does not even resemble last years. It is a positive sign when they are playing this well together after a short period of time.

Harry Z doesnt even appear in the yahoo box score underneath the scoring summary.
Flyers took of advantage of some very shoddy goaltending tonight which was they were supposed to to. Huge test against the Caps.

oh and congrats to Couturier on his first NHL goal.

Couturier only scores in blowouts

The Comcast Network (TCN) also replays the nights game at around 11pm, give or take. And I'm pretty sure all the games become available on Demand. Not sure how long they last though.

What about Bob?

Turned off the game right after the final horn sounded but heard on WIP sports radio that Bob was "visibly upset" during the post-game teammate congrats line.

Did he shun the other players' "atta boys" or did he do something as he walked off the ice into the locker room?

Does anyone have a video clip of this?
