What makes you think they're so down on Gorges? I mean, they let him take a whole year off, when he said he could have played. If anything, that just goes to show that the team views him as an asset. If they didn't want him, they would have played him and let him go to another team with his bum knee.

At one point, they gave pleks a one year contract too. Your argument doesn't hold up.

There are 2 bigger fish to deal with. Both Subban and Price are RFAs. I'm sure Gorges understands the difficulties of the cap era. Aint personal, it's business.

That's an assessment to be made at the end of this season.
Gionta will be our captain for the next decade. He will retire a Hab, and his number will be raised to the rafters after he captains our team to our 25th and 26th championships.

At first, I tought so aswell, but now I don't. I don't he'll ever be more than a assistant, which is good. If you ask me, Patches is in the lead by example mold. Just like Gionta.
