Aaron Ward and Jamie Mclennan are terrible analysts

i'm watching the nucks pre-game on tsn and they have aaron ward and jamie mclennan doing the analysis. I'm not all that impressed so far.

I dare anyone to disagree with my assessment.
I skated in a mens league against one of Wards cousins (he also worked the rinks pro shop) and if he's any indication of what Aaron could offer to a conversation, I have no doubt what you say is correct.

It's like they talk just for the sake of talking. They have nothing to contribute to the show.

Ok...

first of all, it's nearly impossible to refute facts or evidence because there is none and therefore I cannot argue with you. Although I will say McLennan IMO is a bit dry, Ward and him both offer pretty good inside analysis that take you inside a player's head in-game situations.

I don't suppose this thread has anything to do with Ward's comments about the likeability of the Canucks.

I thought Crow was the worst analyst. There were two times he couldn't finish his thoughts and McKenzie had to chime in to save him. I guess he was thinking about upcoming lawsuits.

tsn is great at hiring coach analysts (laviolette, tortorella, mactavish, crawford) and journalists (lebrun, dreger) but does a terrible job at hiring former players (remember tie domi?)

for me, the worst of them all is mike johnson...he's bad in stuido, but i watched the ottawa-minnesota game with him on play-by-play and i couldn't believe how somebody could be that awkward and uncomfortable on camera

I don't mind Mclennan although Ward can be a challenge to follow sometimes when the dynamite starts to go boom. I also can't get over the serious face he makes when he's waiting for his turn to talk. He reminds me of those fashion billboards you see in China with ordinary looking English teachers trying to look like models.

I don't mind either of them, but man there's something about Jamie McLennan that creeps me out. It's probably that awkward smile and overenthusiastic tone of voice.

Well now I'm convinced. Me and my 30 cousins are virtually identical too!

but, but, but aaron ward told us about how everyone hates the canucks because of bieksa's "cool breeze attitude."

Anyone's better than Marty McSorely. It's pretty funny to see him lecturing about the integrity and ethics of fighting. Whenever he opens his mouth and tries to lend some wisdom all I can do is picture him smacking Brashear in the head with his stick

I'll take any of them over listening to Pierre MacGuire, Milbury and Keith Jones. I'd rather take a stun gun to my ears than listen to those chumps.

Anyone else notice that Crawford seemed a little nervous in front of the camera in the 1st intermission?
