Kostitsyn - Desharnais - Darche
Eller - Enqvist - Palushaj

Gill - Subban
Gorges - Diaz
Weber - Emelin

1) No he hasn't lost his mind.
2) No these weren't the practice lines.

First off, it's Plekanec, not Cammalleri. Second, Eller will slowly get back in the lineup in Center on the third line, where he belongs. No need to panic when you see him on the fourth line. Lines change almost every game, so what you'll see on thursday, well you probably won't see the same next game.

And third, have you lost your mind? Diaz and Weber on the same D pairing? Two right-handers... Besides powerplay, don't think you'll ever see Diaz and Weber on the same D pairing.

I was speaking to a friend who is a HUGE Devils fan and he said that Gomez played the wing most of the time in New Jersey, so considering that all else has failed with the bum and we cannot buy him out, trade him or send him to Hamilton.

Why not try...

Cammalleri - Plekanec - Cole
Pacioretty - Desharnais - Kostitsyn
Gomez - Eller - Gionta
Darche - White - Moen
Weber

Markov - Emelin
Subban - Gorges
Gill - Diaz
Spacek

For next game I want to see :

Eller-Plekanec-Gionta

Everytime we saw Gionta with Plekanec in the past it worked great and Eller can compliment them, a very very good defensive line.

Moen-Gomez-Cole

Moen is playing good right now, plus in the preseason Cole and Gomez were good together should be interesting to try it.

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Kostitsyn

Most productive line right now they should still play together until it last.

Darche-Engqvist-Dumont

Palushaj need to still be in the AHL and he doesn't look at his place at all plus being a fourth line player isn't his job, Dumont was good in preseason and could at least bring energy and grit in his 6 minutes icetime, he also have the potential to being better defensively.

Also we need to see more of Eller on the PP, plus I would get rid of Kostitsyn on the point and put him near the net and give this place to Emelin, I really want to see what can he pring on the PP with his big shot.

wonder if we would ever try

cammy-plek-eller
pac-DD-ak46
gionta-gomez-cole
moen-enqvist-darche

its tough to break up the pac-DD-AK46 line with how they are playing, cammy and plek need to be together, eller and cole could be rotated i guess, its tough because i do want to see him at centre at some point, but gionta-gomez-cole played Team USA together as a line so why not

also

Who does spacek replace when he returns?
who does campoli replace when he returns?
Who does markov replace when he returns?

it will be interesting to see who gets the bump, id have to think weber, emelin, diaz would all be candidates, but you gotta be happy with their play right now, i wouldn't mind seeing spacek and gill rotating scratches or just as a 7th dman, so they don't get so worn out, but i don't know how that would float having gill sit out games, with him being a leader on the team

IF, and that's a big one, everyone is healthy the line-up should, IMO, look like this :

Cammy - Plek - Cole
Patches - Eller - AK
DD - Gomez - Gionta
Moen - White - Darche

Markov - Emelin
Gill - Subban
Campoli - Gorges
Weber
Diaz
Spacek

With everyone healthy, wee have 9 guys capable of playing on scoring lines:

Plekanec
Cammalleri
Pacioretty
Gomez
Gionta
Eller
Cole
Kostitsyn
Desharnais

The question is, how do you sort these guys out? Personally I think the Cammy/Pleks combo needs to stick. and I think the AK/DD/Pac line is hot and should remain together for the time being. Also Gomez and Gionta are a duo who could use a big body. Ideally they could get some chemistry going with Cole and we could ice:

Eller-Pleks-Cammy
Pac-DD-AK
Cole-Gomez-Gionta

then have the following guys compete for a spot on the 4th line:

Moen-Engvist-White-Darche

that third line would bring new definition to "smurf line". Two wingers under 5'7"?

Gomez is CRAP! And belongs on the third line, in the press box or in Hamilton.

So, when we are 100% healthy go with the following:

Cammalleri - Plekanec - Cole
Pacioretty - Desharnais - Kostitsyn
Weber - Eller - Gionta
Darche - Gomez - Moen
White

Markov - Emelin
Gorges - Subban
Gill - Diaz
Campoli
Spacek

Price
Budaj

How would they?

Gionta/Desharnais are easily knocked off the puck, and Gomez is a turnover machine in the offensive zone.

You can't honestly expect that line to maintain any kind of lasting puck possession.

The only thing I want to see right now is Eller given more ice time, kid is playing really well and making things happen. Reduce Gomez's ice time and give it to Lars Jacques!

If things progress the way they should that's what will happen.

Cammer-Lars-Cole
Patches-Plekanec-Kostitsyn
Darche-Desharnais-Gionta
Moen-Engqvist-White

You honestly think Eller will one day be a 1st line center and even as soon as this year? Don't get me wrong I see him as a future #1b or #2a, but I'm just surprised to see some optimism around these parts especially coming from an HF staff about one of our players

If all goes well that likely would be the lineup. I wish Gomez would bounce back and be a competent 3rd line center for us but I'm starting to see with the progression of Eller an DD... if all goes according to plan there just won't be any room left for Gomer. He really needs to step up or he'll be the next Drury... centering the 4th line on a playoff team while making 7+ mil.

If i'm JM, i'd look at reuniting Cammy-Gomez-Gionta for a little while...if that doesn't work, then it's time to drastically reduce Gomez's icetime.

I don't think he's playing as bad as everyone seems to think, but at some point, JM has to stop playing favorites and make decisions

The good thing about this season is that JM's got a lot of options when it comes to define his lines. But he needs to find the right combinations and, with the return of Cammalleri, stick to it for a while. Nothing wrong in mixing them up in-game to counter the opponent but he has to allow them to develop chemistry.

Personally, I would still prefer to see Eller at center and Desharnais on the wing.

It all depends on the development curve this year but the kid is special. He could work his way up to centering one of the top two lines this year I feel. He's proven his ability to learn on the fly and he brings size and skill to the top 6.
