Not so much a troll as someone who has watched Luongo since the Islanders and once wished the Leafs had traded for him. Not anymore. Lost a lot of faith in him last year.

The Brodeur comment is funny because he HAS won everything out there and was what, 36, during the Olympics.

As for the rest of the Vancouver team, I just can't get behind them. As a guy who cheers for a team that has more Americans than Canadians on it, I have to still say that if you base your team on a European majority for the skill players and the North Americans as a pluggers and grinders, you are not a team to win the cup. North America style is what the league is built on and that style wins Cups.

Anyhoo, sorry if I got your back up, but until Vancouver can prove last year was not a fortunate fluke, they won't be elite for long.

Pretty much 100%? No way. Not even close. Everyone I know was rooting for the Bruins because they played a more familiar "crash n bang" style of hockey. Even my patriot to the death 65 year old father went to the darkside. Didn't like the Sedins or Kesler.

This has been publicized to death about Vancouver only "sort of" being Canada's team.

The Nucks just put off an odour that is unpleasant to a lot of people.

The best Dallas will get is Lupul and Franson.

And they'd still do the trade.

Hey now, let's not get carried away here. There's no way the Stars take those bums off our hands, we would have to toss in a couple firsts too

Occasionally I will read through a thread and see a post that quotes a poster I've decided not to see. They typically reinforce why that person initially made it to my ignore list. Yours was one such post. Thank you.

your hostility is not warranted and I don't think you're a real Star's fan by responding so emphatically for trading the current face of the franchise for an injury prone journeyman forward and a prospect who has not lived up to potential so far.

I don't think he was referring to you, but rather the poster you quoted....

Thanks Modo. Yeah I have Megan Fox on ignore because I can't tell if the poster is serious or just baiting people. Same with Fehr Time. Obviously I can't see their posts but I can if somebody else quotes them and it always makes me lol.

Pretty big gap in the options you listed imo.

I'm sure 90% of leaf fans would be MORE than willing to do

Colborne, Aulie, Komisarek, 1st round pick.

I definitely think IF the leafs were serious to get him it cost more than that, possibly...

Kadri, Gunnarsson, Lupul, 1st round pick.

Morrow, being 32 yrs old hampers his value when you're throwing back so much youth to give him.

Cause you start to think, which is better...

4 yrs of Morrow, vs 15 yrs of Kadri, + 12 yrs of Gunnars.

Assuming all 3 play to be 36.

You're overrating the value of Morrow.

Look up Lupul's injury history, he had 2 freak injuries.

He's not injury prone you nut.

im sure for what you are proposing the leafs can get better then morrow. if they cant i would rather keep kadri, gunnarson, lupul and the first. leafs are easily 3-4 years away from being a legitimate contending team. by then morrow will be on his down stroke anyways.

Morrow has good value, but not Kadri + 1st + anything value.

Nobody said that but Kulemin in retuen is just not going to happen, The kid is 25 and coming off a 30 goal year he will not be involved in any deal for Morrow that just wouldn't make sense from a Leaf POV

I agree on Kulemin but other pieces from Toronto would work. The thing is with Toronto is they have no leader to feed off of. The Leafs do not have a single player over the age of 30 on their roster that can step up and be a vocal guy on the ice and the locker room. Morrow is that guy and with that leadership he brings offensive talent to boot and is not afraid to drop the gloves.

Fixed that for you. Both Komisarek and Phanouf are very vocal guys on and off the ice. This is not an area for concern, unless you count the top six ranks.

I'd love to have Morrow on the Leafs, but I can't imagine that he'll go for a ransom. He turns 33 this season, and plays a very physical style that is conducive to a faster bodily breakdown.
