Waite's done great things for us already. He's turned both Niemi and Crawford into legit starters.

Though I agree that Turco would probably be a very good goalie coach himself.

I'd never want Keenan back... The guy turned the Hawks into a circus when he was coaching here.

His coaching style is not suited for this new NHL...

The guy would send goons out to fight just to give his star players a breather, then it would backfire on him when benches started to clear...

He used Stu Grimson like that several times...

I remember when he was in Philly he used Ron Hextall in a similar fashion. Ironically I remember Hextall running out his crease all the way to the far boards in the corner attacking Chelios and then a few years later Keenan was using Cheli as an attack dog with the Hawks..
The Hawks were a Circus when Keenan was here mostly because old man Wirtz. I wouldn't blame Keenan completely. Poor ownership, bad GM bad contracts lack of stars. Keenan wasn't working with much. --that said I wouldn't want him back. He is average good experience but nothing special about Keenan.

Uh...are you speaking of the same '88-'92 Blackhawks teams the rest of us know of and remember?

A certain coach Ditka is the obvious choice.

oops no those were very good years. I was more like thinking he was after that... Craig Hartsburg years. Belfour, Chelios, Roenick star power for keenan...1995 was almost lights out as far a pull the plug on the entire organization. but 88-92 were green years for sure. My mistake for not checking the years Keenan coached.

Yeah, might wanna do that next time. That statement would've pretty much destroyed any credibility you ever had in this place.
