Caps defense has looked pretty good by Caps standards.

Gotta love Bryz and his comments. He's just like Pronger:

right. pretty good by the standards they set last year like 4th in GAA and 2nd in PK (with worse goaltending).

no worries, though. you'll probably put up 5 or 6 tonight.

How did that 4th in GAA and 2nd in PK (with worse goaltending) fare against Tampa?

With better goaltending they're at 14th in goals against. It's been sloppy this year.

Really wanted to treat my Pops to this game and found great tickets on Stub Hub at 65 a piece 8 rows up from the ice... Flyers shoot twice end also. Happy as hell and can't wait to break out the Giroux jersey baby!!!! Lets Go FLYERS!

I watched most of the Caps Lightning game and wow they were bad defensively as a team and in net. Both goalies stunk but Roloson was abysmal. I watched the Pens Caps game and they were better but wasn't all that impressed with either team.

If they can keep Ovechkin under 2 goals and just keep hitting Semen breath - the Flyers should take this one.

Excited for tonight's game. Another test against a top East opponent. Schenn's first game. This is the type of game we got for, so shut the door 8). Lets go Fly-ers.

Skipping class to watch this game. It's sports law, so I think my professor would be cool with it. Haha.

I watched the game against Tampa, they looked awful defensively. I saw instances where their defensemen were getting out of the way of shots instead of trying to block them. Their top forwards showed no commitment to back-checking. They’ve faced some pretty weak offensive teams since (Pittsburgh without Crosby, Ottawa and Florida). Tonight I think we’ll see how good they are defensively.

Flyers are ranked 28th for faceoffs this year, with 45%.

Too bad Carcillo and Bradley aren't here, or you could have brought in an example of assault while you missed class

We just like to let the other team tire themselves out with endless puck possession

Thats one area we need to cleanup plus sometimes we get running around in our end plus we need to bury the chances that we get......

The whole "running around in our end" thing could be helped greatly if they could win faceoffs.

FWIW, Left Wing Lock says Bryz is starting via "private conversation." I have no idea what that means. Apparently they have an inside source....
