That was a real eye opener for me also ! I have no problem when a team just don't have it going their way for a game for whatever reason or reasons, but that little lazy stroll back to the net was uncalled for......Hopefully BOB gets a fair shake not matter who is getting paid more money etc....Bryz is a fine goalie but that nonsense gives off some really bad vibes.

There was a spirited but somewhat squalid joint from the distant past with a sign over the bar/libations that read "Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut." Hemingway. Crazy ass SOB.

Afleet Alex is lingering in the back of the pack.
Jeremy Rose has yet to make a move on him and he's running unstrongly.
Giacomo leads but...
Afleet Alex just ran right by Giacomo like he was standing still.
Afleet Alex is opening up with a tremendous burst of energy. He's five lengths in the lead.
A compelling outstanding performance by the plucky Afleet Alex. He won by six or seven lengths.

It has nothing to do with the game tonight. It comes down to if you believe Bob can be an elite goalie in the future.
If you do, signing Vokoun for 3 years $10-12 million was the better option.
If you don't than Bryz was the better option.

The score isn't representative. We played better than them, but unfortunately, there are some games where it just doesn't work our way.
But I seriously hate the Washington Capitals, they always win, but rarely deserve to.

Frankly, I am glad that they took that spanking early in the season and maybe that will lead to some reflection.
I was not happy with the lines tonight, but, I guess, it will take some time to develope some chemistry.
I would try Jagr with Briere and JVR and Roo with someone faster.
As for Bryz's performance- could have been better, I would not read too much into his leasurely return to the net, however everyone is entitled for the own opinion.

If you always win, it's deserved.

It's better than the Toyota ad from last season with the speed-reading legalese that seemed interminable and was insufferable.

Seems like the booze served its purpose.

Must be the irish blood in me.
When we drink, we get drunk.
When we get drunk, we fall asleep.
When we fall asleep, we commit no sin.
When we commit no sin, we go to heaven.
So, let's all get drunk, and go to heaven!
Cheers!

I've also decided I don't buy into Bryz giving up. What was he supposed to do, eat the puck out of rage to ensure it could never get past him again?
