I guess Marc Crawford was right with his assessment.. with limited minutes.. you could do a lot worse than Jeff being your team's 6th/7th dman.

So many connections to Scotty Gomez in this game especially with our goal scorers...
We trade Scott Gomez to Canadiens which opened up cap room to sign Marian Gaborik (Goal 1)...
In deal we get Christopher Higgins who was moved to Calgary to get Brandon Prust (Goal 2)...
Also in Montreal deal we of course landed McDonagh (Goal 3-GWG)

Best trade ever

I think between this game and the Vancouver game Erixon has looked solid and I would really like him to stick once Sauer and even Staal comes back...Torts has been playing Erixon with MDZ which could make up a good 3rd pairing once our D is all healthy...

Our first line is looking good...I think eventually they might start scoring multiple goals in games but that will come as chemistry gets even better...
Besides that all our secondary scoring has been coming from the Boyle/Prust pair...
Hopefully Dubinsky starts to get going (he was showing signs late in this game) and we can get our Pack line to provide some good scoring

Nice picking up two points! Lets get two more!

I have GameCenter, the online thing, so I do get to watch the MSG feed. They just end the feed right when they are about to cut to the post-game.

How was it? Not the same . You New York area cats are so lucky and you don't even know it. We get what, 25-30 Ranger games on MSG feed on Center Ice?

By the way, I call the next GDT.

Hopefully the team can get up to the task of a 3 game win streak - hell, it should be 4 by the time we get back to the renovated MSG, both Winnipeg and Edmonton are easily beatable.

OK, I'll look for it. Know if it was in the beginning, middle or endish? I didn't follow the GDT 'cause I had to study in between periods, haha.

Nothing special, however I love how Steve Zipay blames TSN for his tweet that Boyle scores the game winner, TSN said McDonagh...nice try Steve.

Wish I could've heard that Sam call live, what a beauty

no reason not to beat the Oilers and Jets........do it do it

Also pairing Erixon and DZ is rather smart cause to me this is the audition for both. If they do a good job they will stick with Eminger the 7th and Woywitka to CT as he has a 2 way deal

Awesome victory tonight. Henrik was awesome, and kudos to Erixson for keeping his composure with all the garbage from the Calgary fans tonight. Get over it Calgary, this is not Eric Lindros and Quebec.

Also, I have a serious mancrush on Ryan McDonagh. And the victory fedora? So ugly it is:

POTG: Gaborik, he was all over the place

Good: Dubinsky had a fantastic second half, as did Callahan. Erixon played poised for his situation. Lundqvist was great as usual. Richards and Stepan were creating.

Bad: McDonagh had the Redden wrapped up until he scored. Looks like he got a little over-confident to start. Great 3rd and OT though.

Redden: Eminger. The pair played a lot more minutes then they're accustomed to, and overall they were somewhat successful, but Eminger was a train wreck every time he touched the puck. He is such a spastic pansy when the puck is on his stick. Over-stickhandles, horrible passes to players feet, falling and flailing all over the ice. Eminger recieved one of my highest grades for the 2010-2011 season (I graded based on expectations, aka Gaborik got an F), because he did great last season, this was just one to forget for him.
