I understand he scored the game winner, but does McDonagh really deserve to have 43 votes? He has a horrendous game in regulation.

I agree...
Last season I feared for every time he would touch the puck...
I was not thrilled about him making the club this season but understood with the injuries that they needed him.
I am glad that I have been proven wrong. He looks much more comfortable with the puck now, he looks stronger, and is playing it a bit safer. But he also seems to be working well with his D-pairings so that he can step up in the offensive zone and not cause the team to get caught. I think he will eventually start to get some offensive success. I have definitely been happy with his play so far. He has even gone on the PK with Erixon, where tonight I thought they looked awesome together.

He wasn't fabulous but I think some people are exaggerating how bad he was.

you need to view it on a bigger screen OR reduce the zoom - go to your internet browser options and reduce to like 83%

No I agree. He made bad plays but he also made really good plays. It wasn't like he was really bad/average on every shift this game, it was more like bad or good. He was fine. Just not perfect like usual. On that note, I think this was Girardi's worst game, though he didn't play all that bad. Just not awesome.

Just watched TSN's call of the goal. Mentioned multiple times that the Rangers "stole" a point tonight - bit of a stretch there

Yes that happens for me many times as well. Never knew why, I just skipped it.

Edit: While we are at it, has anyone else struggled to refresh the GDT? Last two games I try to refresh on page 8 (example) and at a mid page post 75-99 it would show the next page on the bottom, that I could not click on. I would refresh numerous times to no results. Takes me atleast 5 minutes sometimes to get to the next page. Didn't explain that the best, but anyone else have that problem?

I said this in the third before he scored the OT winner obviously:

"I love that McD is still playing great aggressive hockey and playing with confidence despite the fact he's been fighting it all game in his own zone. "

That was a great play from Girardi purposely missing the net

Also in Montreal deal we of course landed McDonagh (Goal 3-GWG)

Best trade ever
Good post. Very insightful.

Great win boys!

Brad Richards quietly has a 6 game point streak.

Tim Erixon was welcomed with open arms in Calgary and handled it with the professionalism of a veteran. Kudos to him.

Micky D has been putting up some very important points, while logging better than 25 minutes a game! Sure didn't look tired after the OT winner!

Thats alot of minutes for a sophmore. Give him more!

He may not have played as bad as we are making it out to be, but my question is, does he really deserve a top 3 star? And yes I thought he played bad tonight.

Don't think it was on purpose, myself. Looked like he was just trying to get it around the oncoming defender and that forced his hand.

It was posted already earlier. I think I'll just make a video/highlight thread for people to check out my uploads instead of looking through pages and pages.
